We love that the hotel is very close to the Scotiabank Centre. You can walk to and from within the pedways and buildings. Easy acess to the waterfront as well. Bed was very comfy. One suggestion, when cleaning the rooms, close the bathroom door, and wipe it down. We found our door dirty and the mirror had some makeup on it from a previous person. The desk and dresser had water marks on them, that detracted from the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and will return in May, for another concert.
Staff were amazing and location was good
Room was really dated, sick to my stomach with heat 85 in the room, had to call twice for maintenance to help Olga is incredible.
Nice little surprise about parking (you don't have any) not sure I'd stay there again but Olga is a gem, if I did it would be because of her fantastic customer service.
Worst experience with a hotel ever. Booked online no fees posted. (Expedia). Got there and they could not let me pay the deposit not mentioned on the site (I have screenshots) with another card. Waited and hour trying to sort it out. There was important items to be able to bath missing from the bathroom. No breakfast included which is a shame after dealing with the lack of customer service. They also do not mention where you have to park to have your parking validated and where I parked I ended up paying an additional. There’s construction going on as well which I’m assuming is where parking would be. Overall bad service. Hotel I did not like and I’ll never book there again.
This hotel is located right downtown - across the Street from Scotia Square - connected by pedways.
Affordable and nice sized clean rooms. Perfect for what we were looking for.
We are very disappointed in the service and misinformation that was provided to us, seemly to lure us into continue with our booking. We ended up needing to sleep on the floor during our stay. Unacceptable.
Parking was a bit expensive. $30 a night. One of our friends parked on the street but got two tickets. Hard to tell which is the right places to park on the street. The whole street was lined up with cars on it and thought it was good

The staff and customer service were excellent, however the hotel is old and run down. And the room wasn’t as clean as it should be. The air in the room is very dry and caused nose bleeds. The air vents were covered in dust and there was no fan in the bathroom. Parking was a disaster and expensive. $30 a day, and you have to drive the next street over and park at another hotel and walk back to the barrington. I stayed there for the convenience due to an event close by, but will not go back.
On arrival when we got to our room the air conditioner was not working correctly. We found lipstick on the floor from a privious guest, dirty kleenex under the bed and 3 house shaped prescription medication on the floor. Window was opened and you could close it.
They did not replenish our towels and face clothes the next day. I made the front desk aware and they didnt seem to be the least bit concerned about my situation.
I will never stay at that location again nor will i recomend it i gave them ample opportunity to make it right and they did not. I worked in the hospitality industry for year and i certainly went above and beyond to keep our guests happy things have sure changed.
I travel to halifax 24 times a year and they will not have my business nor will i ever recomend the delta hotel

It was so damn hot in that hotel … made you sweat even with the thermostat turned off …
Parking is a bit of an annoyance. It's not onsite parking but a nearby parkade. We had an issue with the room being too hot and when turning on the air in the room to cool it, it got hotter. Once we called the front desk about it they sent maintenance out right away. It was fixed quickly which is good but was an inconvenience.
