Superb staff, a wonderful welcome. Room was spacious and bed super comfy. A historic building so decor and some of the fixtures in need of updating, but tbh that’s what gives The Angel its charm. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Bed was uncomfortable, mattress needs replacing. Reception told us they'd been replaced in some rooms not others. Shower was cramped and too low so I had to stoop.

Rooms are a bit run down, location is great for being so close to Cardiff bay. Staff are lovely and friendly and the bar is cosy. Breakfast was decent.

Cant fault the property at all just except for the beds was not very comfortable,but everything else was amazing.

Good for a reasonably priced stay if you go midweek. Bathroom in my room was a bit odd, had a massive jacuzzi bath with a rainfall shower head over it, no shower curtain or screen.The shower head needed a thorough clean so who knows what state the jacuzzi jets would’ve been in. Seems a very odd choice for a hotel bathroom in a “4*” hotel. Felt a bit seedy motel like. Looking a bit worse for wear in places in what is a magnificent older building with some great features. There was an issue with the hot water for a few hours in the morning but was rectified in time to be able to get a hot shower, thankfully. Wouldn’t rush to return here, not terrible but distinctly average.

I stayed on 2 May Parking is available at a reduced rate of 5£ day hotel has a great location on beach and walking distance of shops and restaurants etc etc Hotel check in was easy and pleasant with information needed Room had a slight musk smell as windows cannot be opened and only air is a air con and heater ,not great Beds we’re comfortable and bedding clean 👍 View from window of marina tea coffee available and a fridge , When we got to room tv wasn’t working ( maybe run a check before making room available) this was dealt with in good time and replaced Hotel is a little tried , Enjoyed stay Great location
