Close to Indy Race St. Petersburg

My son and I went to St Petersburg, FL for the Indy race. Hotel was about a 15 minute drive to the downtown area, which made it close enough and affordable enough, since all prices go up during the race weekend. Staff was very friendly, especially the morning group who managed the front desk and breakfast area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay again for next years race.

My husband reserved 1 night stay while visiting our son for his bday, we arrived late at our room and did not notice much about the room till morning besides the stain on one of the pillow cases, the next morning as I opened the curtains there were huge cracks in the glass window, as I went to take a shower there was mold around the built in soap holder which explained why I was having a allergic reaction that morning and had to use my inhaler several times throughout that day, by the way I have asthma and am allergic to mold, just walk in rm 308 and you will see what I’m talking about, it was disgusting and it wasn’t cheap, for $250 a night one would expect a much cleaner room oh and there was some kind of drink spill under the tv stand, I have many pictures if there was a way I could put them on here, it was a disgusting room

The only thing we would like better is more lighting. The room was very dark which is ok at night but would have liked the option to turn on more lights in the morning.

Blankets are too thin. I inquired about a late checkout and was told that wasn’t available because the housekeeping staff didn’t have much to do so they were leaving at 12:30pm. I would have understood if the room was booked after our checkout.

Good facility. Clean. Lots of parking. Meager breakfast. Bathroom lighting was very poor, bathroom electrical outlet loose, shower plumbing loose and moved in and out a few inches!

no choice on room 1st floor requested or near elevator on 2nd floor in middle of hallway my location requests are due to safety concerns elevator broke during stay i vacated the room at 630am when my husband had to leave for a meeting as i wasnt comfirtable using stairs alone no apology no compensation $ or points
