I had booked a Lakeview king size room. When checking in the staff member told me this kind of room was overbooked and not available any more. But he would change me to a double-queen room with "Lakeview" so I agreed. But it turned out he gave me a room facing the parking lot , not the lake at all. When I tried to negotiate this issue with the front desk the staff was very rude and impatient with me. She insisted that my room was a Lakeview room because if I look beyond the parking lot and look into in the super distant horizon I should be able to have a glimpse of the lake !!（I guess I need to bring a telescope in order to appreciate the Lakeview of this room). Very upset with this experience. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to express myself. Except this, my first visit to Houston and stay at your hotel was pleasant and I was very thankful for it.

There were no small towels in my room. When someone came to replace amenities they didn’t have small towels. When I asked for towels I waited 2 hours although I was told I’d receive them shortly. When they did bring towels they only brought two. I normally pack my own towels and I didn’t this time so it was sort of a big deal. Also, No one came to clean the room or at least take any garbage until I checked out. I was told the housekeeper was on the 5th floor and would come around, but she never came. Also, my sister’s room across the hall didn’t have water, and when the changed her room to down stairs there was a roach in it so she returned upstairs until they could fix the water the next morning. Above all the $30 hold on my room needs to be dropped because I had already paid for it through Expedia and a left it just as I found it, only a little cleaner.

We decided to stay here because of the location, pictures and reviews from other people but we have been very disappointed! First we arrived with kids and the king bed we booked turned out to be a queen, my kids were sleeping so we didn’t bother to complaint for their peace. The staff during check in was giving attitude and not very friendly she just gave us the key and a paper not even a hi how are you! The halls look very old and the room had a weird smell, towels smelled horrible too. The only nice thing we enjoyed was the location we took a walk around and felt very safe and got some good pictures.
