We stayed at the hotel before a flight out of Tampa. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. From check-in with welcome waters and cookies, to offering to pick us up directly at the rental car drop off rather than having us go over to the airport pick-up to get the shuttle back to the hotel, to having a bag breakfast available in the mornings to grab for the airport. I would definitely recommend Hampton Inn Tampa-International Airport/Westshore as an excellent hotel for a pre-flight stay.

The staff was professional, the room was clean, and the breakfast was decent. However, we were given a room on the last floor where many rooms were being upgraded, perhaps because the hotel was full because of a concert nearby, but the smell was horrible. Also, very often the elevators did no take us to the last floor, so we had to take the stairs at least one floor up. But the most concerning part was that despite not being at full capacity there was not enough parking spaces. We had to park on the curb hoping the car would not be towed away.

Disappointing stay in this hotel. The shower was broken and the scariest part is the elevator on the 6th floor not working too. Forbid there’s an emergency and you will have to find the exit door! The only good thing was the shuttle to the airport.

We arrived in the middle of the night because our plane was delayed. The night attendant was very assuring that we would be able to check in and he was very kind. Kudos to him!! Wish I had got his name, but it was whoever was on on the night of 6/6.

The hotel was clean and maintained well. Staff were pleasant and the breakfast was satisfactory. The area around the hotel was not the greatest, but no fault of hotel! My only real issue was the parking. I ended up parking off property, between 2 construction containers. Was thankful that my car had not been towed overnight. Strong 4 1/2 stars, excluding parking

Pleasant Stay

Hampton Inn is very close to Tampa airport. I called the hotel shuttle and got picked up in a short time. Upon arrival at the hotel in the morning, I was invited to join the complementary breakfast. The hotel was very clean, quiet and friendly environment. The room was comfortable and clean.

I must admit was a little skeptical about the place because of the reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised about the cleanliness of this hotel. It met and exceeded all of my expectations. And the staff were extremely pleasant.

Property kept great and was under remodeled. But, my Room had a lot of issues ( leaky toilet, jammed bathroom door, puddle of water in front of a/c) And, Even though I was given another room very quickly at 3am, I never heard a “I’m so sorry this happened” from the front desk nor offered to take my bag or help even though I’m disabled. Only got an apology from a very polite evening shuttle driver.
