Demand for photo id. Person who booked had to show with photo id. Had no answer for what if my daughter in Auckland had booked but wasn’t staying. Rigid and not friendly
Fine for what we paid (better than expected) but our checkin with an unsmiling, unfriendly receptionist who acted like an official rather than making you feel welcome was a let down HOWEVER the cheerful receptionist in the morning at checkout and great buffet breakfast made up for the checkin on arrival.

I think given the amount this hotel charges it should have sky tv which it does not at present.
Really good price. Great parking close to town. Spacious rooms. Good pool.
We asked if we could have continental breakfast option and reception said no. But next morning heard staff asking if they wanted full or continental ?
The space was huge! External bathroom but private as it was the top floor unit. It was perfect for my stay. Would love to return. The service was perfect too.
Great stay here, room was much better than I expected. Bathroom is a bit old-fashioned but very clean and tidy plus a spa bath!!
Staff were friendly and helpful, easy parking.

The Armitage is quite a nice hotel, close to town yet private. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom is a bit strange. Getting off the toilet is a balancing act. (toilet to close to the bath tub.) Wifi was very poor !
We stayed three nights. It's not a fancy hotel but quite a nostalgic feel of the late 80s, early 90s. Pool is salt water and apart from the bottom requiriring a paint, it was well maintenaned. Easy stroll to the Strand and good eateries. Comfy beds, happy hour is wine & a fw beers only. We didnt eat here because we ate out.

Noisy work in foyer
Work ongoing in foyer was noisy rooms not really serviced each day and not done until late afternoon staff friendly but do not think we will stay again
It was close to the venue i was attending. Front desk 24/7 access.
Didnt like that the room didnt provide at least a microwave.
Breakfast was a little overpriced for the option choices, but breakfast was very yum and there was an option or 2 that i found very yummy and ecofriendly in terms of packaging.
The walls were fairly thin, cant head a conversation but anything a little louder can hear.
Overall stay was amazing. Wish i had time to go use the pool.
