Property was under construction. It sounded like there was a jack hammer on the roof of my unit starting at 7:30am until 5:30pm. Also there was very little heat in the building.

A Disappointing Stay: Poor Cleanliness and Hygien

I recently stayed at Hotel Halifax and was highly disappointed with my experience. The level of cleanliness in the hotel was far below acceptable standards. The carpets were visibly dirty and emitted a foul odor throughout the property, making the environment unpleasant. To make matters worse, I witnessed a mouse running around in the restaurant, which was shocking and completely unacceptable for a hospitality establishment. This raised serious concerns about the hygiene of the food and overall maintenance of the premises. We had requested a crib for our baby, but it arrived without a mattress, making it unusable and leaving us to figure out alternative sleeping arrangements. This lack of attention to basic needs and guest comfort was incredibly frustrating. Overall, the stay was disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Management needs to take immediate steps to address these issues if they want to maintain a credible reputation.

It looks better online than in person. It is under renos right now - which are needed seriously. Parking was good, but signage was confusing. Restaurant was the highlight, but you only get housekeeping if you stay at least four days. Good location and lots of potential, but not there in many ways.
