I paid a little more to stay here based on the pictures and the thought that it might be historic, interesting, and sort of luxurious. The hotel is not particularly luxurious or historically interesting. It was comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located near downtown, which was important to me. The room had a bad smell and needed airing out, deep cleaning, or deodorizing.

Very pleasant property with interesting displays of railroad memorabilia on the grounds as well as well appointed rooms, a lovely grand lobby and two restaurants as well as a pub/bar. I prefer brighter lighting options in the room, but we fared well with the multiple lamps available.

Room was okay but for the price I expected it to be cleaner and have free breakfast which was not the case. There was no food in the hotel, only a bar. For breakfast you can go to the restaurant at the train station and it is a buffet only breakfast and a bit pricey. Parking was EXCELLENT and we were able to park our 30ft trailer that we were towing with no problems whatsoever. Overall a good place and a great option if you need a large parking area.

Facility is clean and personnel are friendly. Dining selection at hotel somewhat limited. Sadly, the bar couldn’t even make a decent old fashion. The hotel is in walking distance from town and that’s nice.
