Great stay at Magnolia! A boutique feel that leaves you pampered without all the pompousness. Coffee, tea and treats in the lobby were an extra perk. Staff were friendly and accommodating! I’d definitely stay there again.

A most fabulous stay here! Very pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade upon check-in and it was much enjoyed! We arrived early, left luggage with reception, turned our car over to Valet; wandered into The Courtney Room and had a most amazing meal. Then up to our room to get ready for our Courtney Room dinner reservation. Another truly amazing meal and specially crafted drinks. Went out to Theater and then right back into the Courtney Room for nightcaps. Á wonderful sleep. This was a special time for us two sisters that don’t get to get together very often. We feel ALL the front facing staff were excellence personified. Hotel itself was beautifully decorate for Xmas throughout. Outstanding in every single way. Room was impeccable, great amenities we enjoyed.

This hotel is a wonderful stay for those who don’t want all the hustle and bustle of a mega hotel like the Empress. It’s a VERY charming boutique hotel, the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating, the rooms are so charming with all the amenities of a 5 star property. Loved it, will recommend it and will definitely come back to it.

What a fantastic Hotel and such a great city. The Staff was welcoming, friendly, and professional. We stayed for three nights. The outrageous machine that made my flat whites perfectly every morning, the apple-spiced tea at night, the clean, comfortable rooms, the location, and all of the fantastic food recommendations. The holiday decorations in the hotel and downtown were mystical. Thank you, and have told everyone who is thinking about Victoria that the Magnolia Hotel is by far the place to stay.

Our first adult trip to Victoria (we both have lived in Washington state for nearly 70 years) was greatly enhanced by our three night stay at The Magnolia in early December. Staff was fantastic, location was very convenient to the harbor, shopping, and lots of bars and restaurants. We stayed in one of their corner rooms and really enjoyed the additional room that it provided. Very nice room, comfortable furnishings, and super responsive housekeeping staff. The only shortcoming (not really much of an issue) was the depiction on the booking site that this was a partial harbor view room. While that was true, the view from only one of the windows really allowed us to see the very inside corner of the harbor (perhaps 100 feet of waterfront).

Hotel was great!! Location is perfect for anyone who just wants to park the car and walk everywhere. Restaurant is very very good! Great quality and variety of options. Waiters were really knowledgeable on the menu and drinks. We only had a slight issue with the time it took for the valet to bring the car around but they made it up to us. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Victoria. It’s the same quality if not better than the Empress, which we have stayed at before. The rooms are more modern and updated than the Empress.
