Mountain View best Western is probably the best place to stay in Ellijay if you like an awesome view in a clean facility nice rooms nice breakfast as well.

The room was basic, no mini fridge or microwave, only coffee maker. Small bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Bed was uncomfortable to me, but everyone has different opinions on mattresses. Quiet time starts at 9 pm and the are serious about quiet time, walking down halls to ensure quietness. The main thing that stood out to me was the no smoking/vaping policy. I'm not a smoker but to be threatened with a $250 fee for smoking/vaping in room (understandable) and to call the police to press charges and to be kicked out of hotel is a bit extreme. During check-in, the lady emphasized this policy more than once. I think a fee and asked to leave the hotel immediately would be a sufficient policy. I will not go back to this hotel because of the way it was presented. If I were a smoker, I would feel very attacked.

The staff were nice and welcoming. The room smelled funny and had no hand soap. The breakfast was decent, but wish the eggs were not so watery. Not bad for the price overall.

The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel sits at the top of a big hill and has gorgeous views. This is a 2 floor hotel and there is NOT an elevator so if stairs aren’t doable, ask for a ground floor room.

The front desk receptionists are excepcional!!! The hotel is clean, breakfast has good variety of food (eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, biscuits, fruits, oatmeal, and granola bars). I picked a 1 King size bedroom and it was nice and spacious. Since the hotel is sitting on a hill, the front has benches with an outlook towards the mountains which look beautiful!

The young lady checking us in was amazing, the lady checking us out was inquisitive but only offered excuses. The older woman who didnt want to get up from her desk because she was "eating and doing payroll" was poor. The vending machine was either jammed or out of water, the office had four cases on the floor. She didnt want to refund $2 or give a bottle of water to a 15 year old girl because she would have to get up or give her one the machine took. Crazy a hotel was that strict over a bottle of water.
