We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here this year. The scenery of the hotel is charming and there are many recreational facilities. I have marked the hotel for future visits.

I had to switch our room because of terrible odour in the bed room. Also, there was a group of people who were drunk and very loud in the restroom and the staff changed seats outside. I booked through the expedia so I had to pay daily amenities fee separately and it had been 5days since I checked out but they have not returned my 200 dollars security deposit yet.

Rocky was clean and location was great. We were golfing both mornings. The beds were comfortable and clean. Very dated. Garden and grounds were just ok. Clubhouse did not serve breakfast. Had the Buffett breakfast the first morning. It was $22 and very basic but good.

Staff were very helpful. Rooms were quite run down (tears in upholstery, blinds not working, cupboard doors falling off, windows fogged between panes, etc). Water leaked through ceiling but staff were prompt to try and address the issue.

The food at the property is ok, nothing crazy but the one on the golf course is much better. The water activities are super, and the lake water are nice and comfortable and cleaner than the pool. Watch out for the pool lining is a bit like 30 grit sand paper and scraping against it is not fun. So skip the pool and hit the lake water which are clean and amazing. The hot tub is great and the fire pit activities are such a nice touch. The crew and staff are awesome and really njce people to talk to.

We go every year on holiday with our family and in-laws. The food was always excellent however most of the servers were not very good. We were told that they were too busy to bring out spreads for the bread a couple times even though the dining room had only a couple tables full of 2-3 people at each one. Orders would come out wrong which I would say was because of not listening. The resort is geared more to family with children(which I have 2 kids aged 2 and 3) some servers would bring colouring books and plastic cups with lids and others would give the kids glass cups like they are adults. This happened to us multiple times where depending on the server you had you would get a completely different experience. The property itself is quite beautiful and peaceful. They have done some nice repairs to the various decks around the property but the day to day upkeep of the property was lacking. The pool and hotub are very well maintained and kept up, but that seems to be about it. Everyday when the pool is cleaned the backwash gets poured onto the beach and destroys it. All the sand gets washed away and into the lake. Which is quite sad because it is a great spot for young kids to play in. Everyday we would fix it up ourselves so that there was sand to make castles etc to make. We love coming here and hope that these critiques help to make the resort better.
