We booked one night as we were traveling home. We have stayed here before. We love this hotel. The location, bar, restaurant, valet, and many areas for socializing is perfect. The staff is wonderful. During this stay we viewed many beautifully decorated Christmas trees throughout the hotel. The shuttle bus took us to and from our dinner location. It is always a wonderful experience.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
The room was not spotless and they never cleaned my room one of the three days I was there.
Nice updated room in the wellness area of the hotel. Heated bathroom floors a definite plus. Beautiful christmas decor

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
salad was pretty small and. basic for cost; alfredo chicken was over cooked and sauce not creamy: maid service did not vacuum or mop or replace toiletries
The staff was very nice and courteous. Dining in the Pine Room was excellent. All of the food was delicious. Dining in the Regency Room was traumatic. Every dish ordered was terrible. The food ranged from underdone to overcooked. It was a disaster.
as with most hotels you need someone that works for the company to stay for a week and see all the "little things" that make a stay nicer... in our case the room we stayed in had no coat hooks to simple hang a jacket on. Lots of blank wall spaces that if they had a few coat hooks on for sports coat...winter jacket ..etc it would be nice instead of having to lay everything on the bed.
Everyone was so kind and joyful. The pine room bar was bustling with activity and laughter. The room was spotless and so comfortable. The hotel has easy access to the wonderful downtown restaurants. We will definitely be back often
Great Hotel with outstanding Ambiance, Restaurants and Staff..... Downtown is just a short distance walk with lots of things to see and do. Stayed there 3 times already. Love it!
The woman at the desk, Kimberly, was kind and working so hard, but she was the only one checking people in. Long line of 5+ groups waiting to check in. Also, disappointing that the Hotel Toanoke no longer does cookies at check in. That was always so lovely.
This historic property is worth a visit on its own! Our friends and family enjoyed a wind weekend stay for my son's wedding at the nearby Taubman Museum of Art. The staff was very attentive and we enjoyed
