OK, the context of this review is from someone who has been to the waterfront in many times. I mean, I’ve been here most recently three times over the last several months to visit family. What I like about the waterfront Inn is the proximity to Lake Sumter, Landing, and all that that has to offer. The renovations that have been completed in the last year have updated this hotel which previously was a bit dated and or creepy i.e. pineapple wallpaper. The rooms have laminate flooring which helped to keep it clean. The bathtub and showers and fixtures appear to be somewhat dated however. Accommodations are modern and not overstated. The beds are surprisingly comfortable.The edition of the calypso restaurant is an added feature and bonus to a restaurant area that was not as appealing previously. Happy hour prices are excellent and the appetizers tasty. if I could offer management, any suggestions I would say please find a new vendor for your morning complementary coffee because it is terrible! Well, in all my stays at the waterfront Inn over the past years have been good to excellent with kind and accommodating staff.

This property met all of our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the pool with our kids, looking out at the lake, listening to live music, and ordering drinks and food from the outdoor staff of the Calypso. We loved walking to all of the restaurants and shops nearby. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
