Nice hotel in a great location

Lovely feel to this hotel, very friendly staff, superb breakfast, nice bar, everything you need and about 15 minutes walk into town.

I am a regular solo traveller to Canterbury and couldn't get a room at my regular B&B so i decided to try the Cathedral Gate Hotel as I often thought it looked like an interesting place to stay. I received a warm welcome on arrival and shown to my room which had a view to the bustling market square. My room was clean and comfortable. Canterbury has a lively, noisy nightlife which is to be expected in a busy city centre and earplugs are provided for those who require them! The continental breakfast was delicious and the croissants served straight from the oven were perfect. I loved the building which is around 700 years old with its sloping floors and rabbit warren like corridors! I am looking forward to my next visit to Canterbury and will definitely be booking into the Cathedral Gate, I had a great stay and it is just a 10 minute walk from the train station!

It’s located at city center, Very convenient location to shops, restaurants and Canterbury cathedral. Staffs are helpful and friendly.
