The hotel is in a residential area and has safe parking. The breakfast was wonderful and the bar and restaurant looked inviting in the evening. The thing that let the hotel down was that the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable.
Note - we learnt as we checked our that if you phone the hotel to book they will match all pricing found online and usually give you a better room than an Expedia booking!!
The Athol is a cosy hotel in a nice residential area in Aberdeen. The service is first class, the bar and restaurant was comfortable. Parking is free. Breakfast is good

Our accommodations were very nice as well as the restaurants. The surrounding area was lovely.

Very nice hotel. Room very comfortable. Lack of elevators to all floors is not good. Complementary help from the staff would be a good idea.
Breakfast was great.
Overnight stay with work. Clean room, quiet and comfortable. There is an old smell to the stairwell though but other than that, great. That's all I need
Rooms were clean and comfortable but require updating.
Lots of steps up and down to our room not accessible by lift
Breakfast was great excellent choice and tasty food.

My overnight stay was ok, bed uncomfortable as mattress thin & noisy at every movement and floor boards were very creeky was worried about disturbing other guests. On a more positive note, breakfast service & food was excellent as was the gentleman on the front desk, whom was very helpful and phoned for a taxi on my departure.
Lovely hotel. Comfortable rooms . Lovely staff. Can park here for free which is a huge bonus compared to city centre hotels. It's only a 20-30 min walk into central Aberdeen through a lovely part of the city.
Everything you could ask for given the price paid. The decor was "old school" but definitely not tired or dated. Staff we very pleasant. Place was very clean and all amenities like tea bags and such were in good supply. Overall top marks on this stay.
Staff were amazingly kind and helpful. We arrived after a long day and ate in the dining room on the premises. It was excellent and enjoyable. The next morning we had 2 short hours to stay in Aberdeen, so we took a walk and then drove around downtown a bit. Unfortunately we could not find any parking facilities.
