Property is at the edge of Hoquiam and convenient to the highway access to get up to Lake Quinault. Owners were accommodating to special requests, were available onsite for any concerns that arise, provided daily housekeeping service and even offered complimentary bottled water to guests.

Great little motel.

Not luxurious, but clean, quite comfortable and safe. You will never find nicer owners than the family that takes care of the property. It’s a throwback to the 1950s with all of the charm included. Highly recommend.

Stay here! While it is ṅot a cookie cutter hotel with lots of amenities, it is a lovely motel run by amazing people who genuinely care about your experience. The beds were so comfortable, bedding was soft, it's spotlessly clean and quiet. Our unit even had a kitchenette. The rooms do not have air conditioning, but with the cool evenings, we found it very pleasant just having the windows open. It is a bit of a haul to the interior of Olympic Park, but the price and quality more than make up for that.

Cozy neighborhood motel.

The owners very friendly as well as helpful. We have stayed there twice and both times they have made us feel at home. Owners have put a lot of work into the hotel over the past year. A home away from home!

My favorite hotel of a two week trip!

The hotel has been there for many years, but it is obvious the owners take good care of the property and are keeping renovations up-to-date! The front desk could not be more friendly and helpful getting checked in and telling us what the area has to offer. If I’m ever in the area again, I would 100% stay.

The Shiny Motel is a fantastic and classic older-style motel. It is in a great location to visit the southern side of Olympic National Park. The owners were very welcoming and their hospitality was unmatched. We very much enjoyed our stay here!

I truly enjoyed staying at Shiny Motel on two separate occasions recently. It is clean, comfortable, and quite adorable. The owners make sure you feel safe and assist you with whatever you need. I was helped with my heavy luggage and even borrowed a clothes steamer directly from the owner! The warmth and hospitality is first rate! If you’re looking for a cute and unique place to stay Shiny Motel is the place. My son, who had a house full of people already was worried about where I would be staying during my trip there. He came with me when I checked in to scope the place out. He was very happy and relieved upon meeting the owners and seeing how things are set up. He is a fan as well now. Thank you, Shiny Motel!

Perfect and pleasant!

This is the cutest little respite on your way to or from the HOH. The place is small and quant but you can really tell that the owers care about what they do. They were just so happy and friendly. I wish I was in the area more often just to stay here. Its a nice change of pace from big name hotels. It isnt the fanciest but you can see the love that is put into it. They are kind and deserve good things.
