First, this is an older hotel that has obviously gone through a very recent and lovely remodel. Carpets are new, paint is fresh, etc. it was the quietest stay I've had at a hotel right off a major highway. The breakfast buffet included a diverse spread of scrambled (powdered) eggs, bacon, salsa, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereals, yogurt, bagels, muffins, and fruit. However, the attendant made some hateful off-putting remarks after a paying guest asked for him to change a channel on a TV to a different channel. He refused, then made a very loud remark for all other guests to hear, "liberals don't like hearing the truth... they're not welcome here ". I am an independent, and I paid to enjoy what was impeccable hospitality up to this point. It is the Sunday before Christmas, and while the site has been touched by Jesus through the halls, on the shelves, the nightstands and tables in the room, clearly some of the staff have not been so fortunate. I will never stay at a Whitten Inn again after seeing him shut the door behind those guests when they left after his statements, a full 45 minutes before breakfast service was supposed to end.

The breakfast opened at 5AM. It is great for hunters and workers. Mr. Whitten was there and went out his way to help with a request. I will be going back.

The room did not conform to the description or photographs provided in the listing. The listing indicated that the room featured a Tempur-Pedic bed, which was inaccurate. Additionally, the room emitted a smoky odor, the lighting was nonfunctional, and roaches were present. I was deeply disappointed, as the room created an unsettling and claustrophobic atmosphere reminiscent of a dungeon. Furthermore, the room was priced at four-season rates for the service provided by a motel chain like Motel 6. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Enjoyed the Whitten Inn. Conveniently located near the mall, with a lot of food options. The property is quality grade. No frills room but comfortable. The property as a whole was very quiet. Breakfast is sensational with lots of options. I will stay here from now on.

The staff is what made the stay excellent. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Front desk fixed our TV issue. Breakfast was, hot, fresh and the staff where super nice as well. For the hotel overall the buildings was nice, room's were clean and met our needs. Well priced. I would stay here again.
