Not a terrible hotel, but definitely not the best place to stay either. Well off the beaten path and in a quiet area. Was quiet when we checked in on a week night, but as it filled up on the weekend we could very clearly hear the guests above us. The carpet was stained and dirty. There was a dehumidifier in our room that ran continually and was very loud. Beds were not comfortable, we had a queen and pull out couch. The pool was less than desirable and only open until 8:00. Most mornings the hallway smelled of pot. It was a cheap accomodation, so I guess we got what we paid for, but the price seemed a bit high for what it actually was.

This property was appalling! The audacity to ask if we wanted to upgrade was absurd. The lobby area looked abandoned. No room service was available. The towels and he one washcloth in the room were worn out, frayed, adn had holes in them, also the top sheet had holes in it. The bath mat was dirty, and it looked like it had been used. Had to pay a $20 per day resort fee! What resort? A glorified pool? Which we never used. The landscaping in and around the property is hazardous. Huge cracks in the cement, and the suitcase wheels got stuck. The garbage cans at the entrance to our room area were filthy. The elevator was missing parts on the panel and had scratch marks and graffiti. No working ice machine. Then why offer an ice bucket in the room? We walked all over the property trying to find one. The room furniture was disgusting, the chairs looked adn smelled horrible. the nightstand between the two beds was useless. No USB plug-in option. Maybe add an alarm clock that also has a USB plug-in option? Someone on the other side of the connecting door was rattling the lock. Creepy! If you have two women checking in, maybe think safety first! Your front desk staff need customer service training. Complete rip-off for the price we paid! Raze the property; it was a horrible experience.

No free breakfast. No restaurant or bar. Half the outdoor pools are closed, false advertizing on that part, as the pictures show a lazy river outside. No free Noah's Ark tickets as advertised. No microwave in the room. Not allowed to open the patio doors or will be fined $100.

I stayed in rm 244 over the last weekend. I was bit by spiders all over my body. So was my daughter and her father. I was swollen for days and very itchy. If there was a spider infestation in the room they obviously did not clean it very well or they would have noticed webs of some sort. The resort there is also only open from 12pm to 8pm which I feel is a scam. Most places are open earlier and stay open later. You get charges a $20 resort fee each day your there on top of everything else which just doesn’t make sense to me.

My family and I recently stayed at the Polynesian and we really enjoyed ourselves. Now, it’s not the newest or the fanciest resort but they are taking strides to update the entire resort. It’s “under construction” if you will, but some of the indoor and outdoor pools were open to public some were not. Some rooms have microwaves some do not. Some rooms you are not allowed to open your balcony door because of renovations however they are very accommodating. Most of the staff don’t really speak good English but they are very polite and will try to be helpful. I have this thing where I want to visit a different resort every time I go to Wisconsin Dells so I probably won’t stay there again soon but I definitely would stay there again ☺️ oh, the only thing I literally had an issue with was the fact that my balcony door would not lock properly either. I was on the first floor so a little unsafe but yeah. Keep up the renovations Polynesian.

This place should be torn down that's how bad it is. Indoor water park is used for a storage unit, untapped maintenance outside around the pools. Only one kiddie pool open. Sliding doors to each of the rooms are screwed shut. Balcony word is molded and ready to break. Wallpaper falling off with mold behind it. And the employee walkway crumbs and leftover paper all over the place not being vacuumed for months it looked like. Don't try to call them because it is impossible to reach them voicemail is always full. No one picks up the phone. Pictures on website are completely deceiving and not true to what the resort looks like. Stay away from this place!! Absolutely

The resort definitely needs more TLC. The room was very clean however the rest of the resort needed a lot of maintenance. The outdoor waterpark was not fully functional. The lazy river was closed down. The indoor waterpark had one water slide working and the kiddo's pool area was closed off. They also had half the lights inside the waterpark shut off. The carpet all over the resort except in the suite was old and dirty. Not a bad choice for what I paid but would definitely get more customers if a little more TLC was given.

Room was so gross A/C had chunks of nastyness hanging from it! Mold in refrigerator! A clump of hair left in shower! When you pull up at the property it looks ABANDONED nothing has been fixed or maintained in at least 10 plus years! False advertising for sure. I will be sure to tell family friends and anyone going to Wisconsin Dells to stay away from The Polynesian Hotel from Hell!

Baby Roaches of the Polynesian hotel

My family vacation was ruined by the Polynesian Hotel & hotel.com because when we checked into the room, we went to put our bags down. There was a roach crawling up the wall. Make a very long story shorts. The Polynesian manager was willing to give me 100% of my refund back. That was very nice of him. But not only did the place look deserted and ran down but I’ve been fighting with hotel.com to get my money back because they are refusing to give me my refund back since last Thursday because they’re saying they can’t get a hold of the Polynesian hotel & they refused to give me a refund on my stay at the polynesian from hotels.com. I found it very sad that I was stuck in another state with my family obviously not gonna stay at the Polynesian hotel because they have roaches because I’m not bringing roaches to my house. I’ve been getting the run around and fighting with hotel.com trying to get my refund back. This is so unprofessional, when I have proof from the hotel, willing to give my money back, but it’s hotel.com giving me the problem. when clearly you could see in the pictures put the Polynesian gave me paperwork stating they are giving me 100% of my refund but hotel.com doesn’t wanna honor it and this is very unprofessional and this family vacation was the not only a stranded family on a hell vacation trip!!
