This is in my hometown. I was there for a wedding. I had an unexpected and unpleasant experience at another motel in Mackinaw City. Lakeshore Motel is clean, quiet and the owners are very pleasant.

They hold it down here!

Very kind folks running this family owned business. Definitely happy with my stay! They have a continental breakfast too which is unfortunately not that common with small town motels but these folks hold it down!

Our stay was ok. The room was clean and the staff at check-in was lovely but the hotel itself is a bit tired. The carpet on the stairs outside of the building was worn and dirty looking. My daughter ended up tripping and falling coming off of the stairs as the transition from stairs to concrete pad was unmarked. All in all, the stay was fine but nothing to write home about.
