First, you drive up to pot holes and overgrown weeds. The staff is in street clothes. Not a single staff member had a name tag or anything identifying them as an employee. At check in, there was a sign stating the pool was closed. According to the staff it has been closed for 3 years. The room was ok, but I wouldn't use the hair dryer because the cord was brown. The view from the back was a storage container and shopping carts.

There was a Dank mildew smell in the room. I took an oil air freshener out of the hallway and brought it in The room to mask the smell. We only stayed one night and this was the best stay of all our stays in the state. The front desk member was a married younger than me(47) woman and is to be commended for her service and hospitality. She was a delight and glad to advise us on things to do and best ways to get places. Just a very nice woman.

They say the pool is "under construction." But it sure looks run down and like it will never open again. Nice enough hotel for the area, but they should not advertising having a pool.

The service was good and overall the hotel was generally clean. The inclusion of a pool as an amenity is false - the pool has apparently been closed for maintenance for 3 years. Our room also felt damp and smelled very strange.

Decent accommodation close to New River Gorge National Park. The beds were not very comfortable. As vegetarians, we found the buffet breakfast was limited.

Close to National Park, just an “ok” stay

Our stay was just “okay”. The hotel location was great to see the national park. The staff was super friendly. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the two king size beds. Breakfast needed a few more options.. bagels or a drink machine. The water machine broke while we were there. There were spiders in our room, dust and cobwebs. The pool was broken and the hotel offered NO reimbursement for that. They said the maintenance guy died three years ago and haven’t found another to fix it since! Hotels.com never stated that on the website when booking nor did the hotel offer that info when I called inquiring about our stay. My kids were so disappointed. The tv was a little messed up and blurry. Just a heads up!!

Great experience, friendly staff, excellent continental breakfast options and clean environment. However, parking options were limited. The parking spaces are not marked by lines. Therefore, people end up parking in two spaces limiting parking options for other customers.

The sheets were stained. Room was dirty. Borrowed broom from front desk and swept up bathroom floor. Carpet was dirty with food crumbs, dirt and bobby pins. Asked for room to be vacuumed and it was not done!
