It was a comfortable stay! The staff was friendly and efficient. MY room had a beautiful ocean view and easy access to the Sea Hear Now festival. The parking fee was steep but understandable given the location. I wish the Berkley offered more dining options.I would stay at the Berkley again.

Our room was booked with Expedia as an ocean view deluxe king. Our room did have some view of the ocean but mostly of the building in front of us, the roof below and most lovely the garbage disposal area below. The room was dirty. The bed was very uncomfortable with cheap pilly sheets. The curtains were so old the backing was pealing off. We requested a different room, which was denied by the hotel. I called an agent from Expedia and complained about the room. She too was unable to do anything. I don’t know if the hotel management was unwilling to accommodate us because we booked with a third party? It wasn’t because they were full and no other room was available. The Berkeley isn’t what they advertised themselves to be!

Cant beat the location, right next to everything. Parking was 75 a night or street parking which was nearly impossible. Customer service was basic but not rude. The room was outdated and there was a water leak in the hallway which caused ablotof noise.

Beautiful property & although an older hotel, it has been well maintained & updated. What I DID NOT like was the ridiculous Price for the valet parking. $90.00 was absurd for an overnight stay.

Fine Location .

We will probably stay here again due to it's excellent location. We would've given The Berkeley five stars if their gym had a chest press which worked, and/or a weight rack with barbells so we could've made - up our own custom workouts. Otherwise it's good that their gym is always open .
