Irs nice for kids but not for couples. The bars was not stocked bartender was unaware of deinks. Went to Ace for breakfast paid50.00 for 2 people and food made us sick couldnt even eat half. We had to keep going to other places for even simple thing of coffee ice machines on all floors were not working or stock. Rudely awaken at 2 am by security looking to see if we had kids with us when can simply look at computer and see we had 2 people no kids listed.kids playing with elevators running up and down halls. Not too sure we will return.

The overnight receptionist was horrible in accommodating me with a room that had a refrigerator to store my breast milk leaving me to dump 3 bags of it by morning. But the morning receptionist Leslie was amazing and was able to accommodate me and my husband for the remainder of our trip.

Front desk staff is horrible. The actual building, if you look around you can see it’s on the decline. One guard there named Robert was amazing. Like I said, he should be training the front desk. He was AMAZING. He’s the guard on the overnight shift and works by the front desk. Two other quards work at the end by the boardwalk. They were horrible and unprofessional

Our stay was good,(room clean) The hotel?!? This was the last time I’ll stay at Showboat.The staffing is horrible!(and not one of them were polite).You go to the front desk to get clean towels etc..Went for toiletries. She had me counting the # of people I had with me at 3am I asked for toilet tissue, She said ‘for all 5 rooms “yes, all 5”. What did she give me? 3 rolls! The last 2 days, the elevators were on some scary stuff. I’m glad we left the day we did. By then 2 of the doors not opening all the way. STILL going up some, after the doors open. Also any parents of teenage boys, just a fyi. My nephew, 15 year old typical teenage boy(pants NOT sagging, no hoodie or mask on, anyway, him, my daughter and her friend, coming in, they stop him, wanting his room key and asking him questions. My daughter tells him, come on, we’ve never had to do that before, let’s go get my dad, they walk off. When he went down to go get something to eat, approached again. Now I’m sure, not all teenage boys will have the same experience. I’m just letting you know of MY experience. Now there was a security guard named Robert, working the overnight shift on the front desk end. He was AMAZING. So polite, pleasant, helpful. He needs to train the front desk on customer service. Our interactions with him were very pleasant. Now on the other end by the arcade there are 2 guards, I do believe profile and are very rude.

The hotel is pretty dated and not super clean. The ac in our room did not work properly and called desk no one did anything to help fix situation. The elevators were pretty sketchy we considered stairs but was on the 15th floor. Food closed early.

The queen beds were on the floor in the hotel rooms and it’s smells like weed and pee all on the rooms and halls . The only thing good in the Hotel is the new waterpark but the food is very expensive there . The parking lot is very nasty and be aware if you have a nice car they might steel your rims.

The Hotel is outdated. The elevators were not working. I got stuck in one. Both nights orher guests were unruly and loud. Both nights I was awakened by banging. Food options were terrible.

Disappointed and Misled – Not Worth the Hype There was absolutely nothing I liked about my stay at the Showboat Hotel, aside from the staff who were polite and helpful throughout. I had rented two rooms—a standard room for one night and a suite for the remainder of the weekend—and both were extremely disappointing. The standard room with two queen beds was far from clean. The sheets were dirty, and to my horror, I found food stuck to the blanket that was tucked under the mattress. It was clear that proper housekeeping had been overlooked. The suite was no better. It looked and felt like it had not been touched since the hotel originally closed. The condition of the floors was appalling—tiles were torn and scratched as if heavy furniture had been dragged across them without care. The TV in the sitting area was barely hanging on the wall, and the refrigerator was barely functioning. To make matters worse, the shower was clogged. Although maintenance responded quickly, the experience was still unpleasant and unhygienic. Despite the hotel being advertised as "renovated," the reality was quite the opposite. The only redeeming factor was the staff, who remained friendly and accommodating during my stay. I would not recommend staying here until major improvements are made.

Parking is NOT included with your stay! It is $25 a night with no discounts for being a guest. So I checked in and they charged me more than Orbitz told me it was going to be. Orbitz quoted me an amount that was including the resort fee. And they overcharged me an additional $62 upon check-in. So after I got checked in and made it up to my room and got situated. We came down and there was a mob of young adults smoking, and vaping, even though the hotel was smoke free.They were at least 30 of these people screaming and acting like idiots and wild animals. It reminded me of being in the ghetto. They were a bunch of rowdy, trouble making people. And they were a constant presence through the hotel everyday that we were there. I found it extremely unsafe with these type of people running a muck and security was nonexistent with them. Than 9:30pm to 11:45pm the kids across from us started knocking and ringing our doorbell and running. So I called the front desk and was promised security would come and no one ever showed up! So I had to get dressed at midnight and walk all the way down there to even get security to come up. After security came, they did absolutely nothing. The next day I went to the front desk and was promised that a manager would give me a call. And no one ever called me. And the idiots across us started knocking and ringing our doorbell again and running. They should refund at least half of my money for the inconvenience of the idiots across from me!

The internet was really bad — there was no connection at all. I had a work meeting that I couldn’t join because of it. When I called the staff, they said it was due to too many people using the internet. But when I booked the resort, it said that internet was included. Unfortunately, I missed the meeting because of this.
