Unfortunately, I didn’t like anything at this property. First and foremost, they did a lot of carpet cleaning before I checked in and was given a room with wet carpet and a carpet fan blowing on it. I asked for a different room and was given something closer to the lobby. This room too had damp carpet and felt very humid with a wet dog smell and damp carpet. I sat in the room for at least 30 minutes and the funky smell starting to affect my sinuses in a bad way like everything was closing off. I spoke to a manager and explained that the carpet cleaning was affecting me very negatively and that I couldn’t stay. I knew that if I stayed I would not get any sleep and would be worse off in the morning. The manager insisted on showing me a third room, but frankly I didn’t want to tour the entire hotel until I found a good room. I asked for a refund for the night and was denied. It was so bad that I was willing to eat the cost of the room for the night and go somewhere else. I’m sure they thought I was lying, but I think I proved that I wasn’t because I was willing to take the financial hit for the night. Very disappointed! I work as an AGM in a best western for 15 years and am amazed that they would allow this property to operate this was.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. There have been recent updates which were great. I wish we had “typical” hotel pillows.

Outdated and decent

Definitely outdated but it was decent. Staff were friendly. Nice options at breakfast. It would be so much better if they replaced the carpet with hard surface floors.

The rooms were extremely small for the price. Rooms are dirty hallways are dirty there was 2 blankets in the hallway opposite of our door for 3 days that's how I know they don't go and clean the rooms and or bring towels had to go ask each day for towels. Each time we left our room we had to get the carsa to unlock the door each time we left the room. Definitely will not return. Do have a photo of the blanket but the app won't let me upload it.

There was a lady working in the dining area when we had breakfast that was an excellent employee. Told us she loved her job, constantly refilling and cleaning. Hang on to her.

Room was old and very sparse. Had two beds a desk and a fridge/microwave. Floors were imitation wood tile with zero carpeting. Walls were dingy. Shower/tub did not drain and the water was discolored. Would NOT recommend. Also, we were unaware that they allowed pets in the hotel. Smells of both smoke and dog.

If I ever come to Augusta again...I'll stay here!!

I was traveling for a conference...had a couple of hiccups and the hotel staff helped me get all of my "stuff" ironed out...needed a speech printed...lost my phone...my key card was wonky. they were ALL great!!
