We love the cozy feeling you get staying at the Cedarberry. My husband stayed here as a child coming up to visit family so it brings back a lot of memories for him and it’s nostalgic. It’s the only place will stay when we come up.

If you are looking for a 5 star luxury resort, this isn't it. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with very good amenities and an incredible staff, this is it. First the Cons: The hotel itself is a little dated. It could easily have come out of the mid 80's in look and feel. The rooms have just a few available outlets for electronics, limited drawer space and no closet. My biggest issue was no refrigerator in the room. Pros: The rooms are kept immaculate. Daily housekeeping and they do a fantastic job of cleaning and resupplying towels etc... The rooms are quiet, provide everything you need with a nice flat screen TV. The bed is comfortable, the shower surprisingly large for a hotel and the staff is the nicest I have ever found short on a $2-300/night resort. There is a pool, hot tub and small video game room that again evokes memories of the 80's. Lots of great dining, (from the original Culvers to a very nice local brew-pub right on the river as well as great shopping within minutes and of course, the Wisconsin river itself. The area is safe (I left my car unlocked for two nights before realizing it) and the people incredibly friendly. If I am ever again in Sauk City I will definitely be staying here.

we loved it. really enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi tub in room. The bathroom had an actual WORKING FAN. we never get that. Then when each of us stepped into the shower OMG we each said WOW! there was wonderful water pressure. And did not run out of hot water. We were really impressed. I know that if the hotel was at peak capacity their would probably be more noise-but we did'nt hear any hall noise. We will be coming back and also recommending to all who are going to Wisconsin Dells.

Loved this place! I came to Sauk City because the hotels in Madison were crazy expensive during UW graduation week - I am so glad I found this motel and town - and from now on we will be staying there! Loved the spacious immaculate room, the kind staff - the adorable main street and shops/dining by the Wisconsin rover....We arrived so late bx our flight was delayed they were all so kind and patient. Breakfast was provided, I wish I had a bathing suit for the beautiful pool - and VINTAGE brewery was really something else - I can't wait to come back!

Check in was great. Staff at the front desk was very kind. The room was on the pool side so it was a little noisy but the beds were comfy. The bath spout didn’t work, you had to put your finger in the spout to lift the lever to get the shower to work. Housekeeping turned our refrigerator off for some reason when we still had milk, soda's & water in the frig so when I put my leftovers in there that night I didn’t realize they turned the frig off & my food & milk went bad. Things happen so I wasn’t about to let it ruin my day, we still enjoyed our trip in the area, Sauk city is a beautiful area to visit.
