Pool not open

We went to check in and asked when the pool was open. They said the pool was closed for maintenance. The whole reason we booked this hotel was for the pool. Best Western Point South refused to give a refund, and told us to contact hotels.com: they tried contacting the hotel for a refund who refused again. We had to pay for another hotel. Not happy at all.

Pool was closed and probably has been for a while. I wish this would list on websites because it is one of the reason we pick a hotel. Bathroom was old. I was really off put by the crooked picture behind the lobby desk when I walked in. Just felt like no one cared. I appreciated it was quiet. beds were clean. Just rather a cold experience overall. Inexpensive for a one night stop.

The floors were sticky and covered in dirt. Also the walls had yellow like it was smoked in. Humid and had a mildew smell. Would not recommend. Very outdated never updated on second floor.

Disappointing Stay – Would Not Return

Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy our stay at Best Western Point South. The AC unit and dehumidifier in the room were extremely loud and ran all night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The room also had bright outdoor lighting that the curtains couldn’t block out, which added to the discomfort. The pillows were small, hard, and very uncomfortable. There was a lingering smell of cigarettes around the property, which was unpleasant and gave a rundown impression, even though the room itself was reasonably clean. The front desk staff didn’t seem very welcoming or friendly, which added to the overall negative impression. We were hoping for a restful night, but this stay was far from that. Would not recommend.
