Hygienically unclean rooms - do not risk it.

I could tell the moment I entered the room that it had not been clean, not just since the last guest, but probably in a while. Upon entering the room, the air conditioner was off (in the middle of summer), making everything in the room feel damp and smell heavily of smoke. The damp feeling and the smell from the hotel stayed on my clothes, and I had to purchase other items for the rest of the trip. There was mold/mildew growing on the air conditioning unit, and in the bathroom wall and around the toilet. There were visible sticky and greasy substances on the TV stand, night stand, and headboard. There was splatters on the wall by the trash can. Before taking a shower, I had to clean out the tub due to the hair left behind (which was also on the bathroom floor). When I went to turn off the light next to the bed, I noticed the partial condom wrapper sitting on the night stand. In addition to the general hygienic and cleanliness concerns, there were repairs that have not been attended to (the light in the bathroom is just an exposed bulb, the counter under the sink was hanging there, and outlet covers missing). I was booked for two nights, and only ended up staying one - and I only stayed the one night because there was literally no other room available in town. Hotels.com were great and were able to get a refund for us for that second night.

Outdated, the staff was very friendly and the room was clean but bed was uncomfortable and everything was very outdated. It was fine for a cheaper hotel stay but you get what you pay for so you can tell it’s cheap.

Could have been better but wasn't Benton Harbor.

Upon arrival, front desk staff was sitting outside and nobody was manning the front desk. Employee who hadn't clocked in yet took care of the check in process. Had to change our own sheets because the ones on the bed were dirty and was informed that there was no 24 hours maid service. Front desk did deliver new sheets without an issue.

To begin, the staff was amazing! They were so nice and helpful! The room overall was fine. However, the pillows are hard and flat - I had to go ask to get extra pillows. the bed was extremely uncomfortable -- hard and felt like it was old and damaged. Didn't sleep very well. The fridge didn't close properly. The location was great! Right off the highway, right next to a breakfast place and down the road from the beach and downtown St. Joseph.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Christina was absolutely amazing. She was always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Comfortable stay
