It’s hard to travel to the capital of Germany and not see something connected to the Berlin Wall. Make your way over to the Gedenkstatte Berliner Mauer (Berlin Wall Memorial) and feast your eyes on one of Germany’s best monument sites. Here you’ll walk through the Documentation Centre, Chapel of Reconciliation and see an original section of the wall. Somehow it manages to be eerie and beautiful at the same time.

Berlin is no different, with some of its best shopping being located in Alexanderplatz. Known to locals as Alex, this massive square boasts big-name department stores as well as local boutiques.
