Great weekend stay

Fast and friendly check in. The rooms are clean and comfortable. An older hotel but seems to be kept up. Breakfast is just muffins and coffee is around the clock. Cameras everywhere which made me feel safe. The only downfall was the pool not being available.

I had hurt my foot while on vacation and barley able to walk so when my husband went to park infront of our room there were 2 traffic cones blocking the spot so my husband parked beside them in the striped area so I could get back and forth to the car but someone made him move it. What was the purpose of blocking the parking spot?

Below average rating because the room was not clean and although Black Mountain is a safe area, the motel specifically felt unsafe. Staff was friendly though.
