We stayed at this property when we visited Fairfield University. The property was clean and in a great location. The property rents their lobby to the Fairfield Comedy Club and since we were relaxing in the lobby we decided to attend the event. We paid $30 a person and attended the show. There were many different comics. Some were funny, some were very offensive (making fun of intellectually disabled people) it is what it is. When the show ended the comedians clean up the lobby and get it back to how it was prior to their makeshift club. My husband and I decided to stay in the lobby and sat on the high top tables that were not moved. We were sitting there minding our own business and one of the comedians approached us and demanded we leave and then threatened to call the police on us. We were doing absolutely NOTHING and according to hotel staff the lobby is open 24/7. This was very traumatizing and upsetting. Then other comedians come over and threatened to throw us out, we reminded them we were staying at the hotel but we did leave and return to our room because we did not want any more conflict and were actually frightened. In the morning we talked with the morning desk staff and they apologized and understood that it must have been an awful experience. Needless to say we were angry that we paid for the show and the hotel and were treated like this. I would not recommend this hotel and will never stay here again!!!!!!!
