Best hotel we have visited!

We really enjoyed this Hampton Inn Cave City, KY! Staff was nice; room was very comfortable. Good breakfast included. Location is great for visiting Mammoth Cave.

Great hospitality, helpful staff

The folks at the front desk were all very hospitable and helpful. There was some confusion about my bill because hotels.com did not communicate the changes I requested to my reservation (pro tip: it would have been significantly cheaper for me to make my reservation directly through the hotel rather than hotels.com but live an learn) and they were very patient and helpful and polite. Also, my child left his beloved stuffed animal behind after we checked out. The housekeeping staff made sure to bring it to the front desk and the front desk staffed called me to let me know we left it and made arrangements for us to get it back. I was so appreciative! The hotel breakfast was decent (for hotel breakfasts). My biggest complaint with the hotel is that there was a musty odor in our room and the air quality wasn't great from the heater/cooling unit. Otherwise, it was tidy and met our needs.

I want to start off and say that the staff were super friendly and so I have no complaints at all about the people. But I’m honestly confused how this hotel has such high ratings. The whole place has a horrible smell. The carpets and floors in our room were so sticky, it really grossed me out. We only stayed a night so it wasn’t the worst but I would not have liked to stay for a longer period.
