It was an ok place to stay. Nothing at spectacular. The pool had bugs in it and wasn’t very clean. The breakfast was just biscuits and gravy. It was a good place to sleep. Within walking distance of lots of activities so you didn’t have to stay there all day.
The pictures are definitely different than the rooms, the room was like stepping back in time. Many outdated items, the flusher on the toilet got stuck and ran the entire time we were gone (sorry environment), the plugs for the chargers didn’t work, and the bed didn’t seem to fit the frame it was on (you felt as though you were falling near the edge).

Comfortable beds, however non smoking room smelled of smoke and was not entirely clean. There were a whole bunch of crumbs by the bed between the night stand and bed. Things like the top of the mini fridge were grimy. Everything that I saw from the sign out front to the inside of the room was shabby and in need of an upgrade. Given the activity outside the room was surprisingly quiet. The check out clerk was nice and helpful.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
The Spinning Wheel is doing a lot of things well. The property is generally well kept and is located in a quiet area next to a shaded park just 2 blocks off the strip. This is an older property so the room is quite dated. The bathroom seemed recently renovated and everything worked great. The towers were plush and new. My biggest complain is with the tattered bedding. Bedspread, sheets, pillow cases were worn out years ago. I assumed everything was clean, but that bedspread needs to go. For the price I feel like I got what I paid for, and I would stay again.
Convenient to Sight and Sound, when we pulled into our room parking space. People were working on a car in the parking lot, right in front of the room we rented. I was concerned. During the night we heard a lot of noise. Didn't know if someone was breaking into our car.
We enjoyed the spinning wheel. It was clean, the staff were friendly. The sister hotel next door had very friendly staff as well. Our pool was being fixed and we were offered to go next door to the pool. The only thing I wish different was the breakfast selection, more variety.
The rooms were a good size. But definitely not clean. Our room used to have a hot tub in it and there was mold around the rings of the tub. You could also see soap scum around the bottom of the whole tub that was not cleaned. The corners of the bathroom were dirty with fuzz and dust. The toilet caps that hold on the seat were broken and you could see yellow urine stains that were not cleaned. Behind the refrigerator looked like they hadn't vacuumed in years, there was about a 1 inch strip of solid dirt and fuzz. Due to it being a non-smoking room people were all standing outside our door smoking in their cars. We could also smell pot the minute we opened our door. On Sunday morning when my husband went to throw trash away you could smell sewage and I don't know if that was because there was a lot of rain the night before? I know a continental breakfast was provided, but there was a very minimal amount of opfions and there was a sign that said we are out of biscuits and that was about 8:30 in the morning. We have stayed in lots of other hotels that provided a continental breakfast and this was nothing like that. Even though we got a fantastic price we would never stay again. I guess the old saying holds true, you get what you pay for.
The hotel is obviously an older hotel, but the rooms are clean and the general condition is pretty good for the age of the hotel. It's not fancy, but an inexpensive place to stay for a quick trip to Branson. We stay there often.
