The owner was amazing and very helpful. The motel is on the older side, but we were not spending anytime there but to sleep, so it did not bother us.
The owner/manager of Columbia Gorge Inn went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and feel at home. He even let use his washing machine and dryer to wash our dirty hiking clothes. Highly recommend!

Proprietor was great- super friendly, although bit of a language barrier, but very accommodating. Room was fine, looked clean, but bad smell- almost sewage smell.

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Flu infested. Sliding window unable to be opened. Shower head above toilet. Keys, not key card.
Hard to get beyond that the toilet is located IN the shower. No divider, so separation, located directly beside one another. It’s super weird. Room had a musty smell, area is semi-questionable. Didn’t know if my things were safer in the room or my car. Property is super basic but located close to lots of trails.
Clean, accommodating and willing to ensure customer satisfaction. Ols school keys added ambiance and some nostalgia, to our stay. Did return for another stay for two reasons, location and price. Whiskey Flats is a restaurant/bar with energy, great food and libations to enjoy for all
The room was mostly clean and the surrounding area was quiet. The man who checked me in and out was very helpful and kind! I just needed a place to sleep for the night and it was a good stay for that reason.
Stayed here for a wedding, the hotel served its purpose of being a place to sleep. The room was okay in terms of cleanliness when I and my partner entered, though upon further inspection there were a few cobwebs and the window - that had water dripping inside from the rain right above the electrical outlets - definitely had a bit of mold. Overall it did what we needed it to do: be a place to sleep and get ready. As far as staying here, if you want more of a place to actually hang out in I would not recommend. But if you’re here for a wedding or just need a place to crash? That I can recommend.
We needed a place kind of last minute. This option came up so we booked it. It was the weirdest experience I've had in a long time...
After the reservation was made, I got a message from the hotel telling me where to pick up my key and how to find my room, with instructions on where the key drop was for the next morning.
We were exhausted and decided to proceed. It was a bit strange as we pulled up. We didn’t have many fellow travelers at the establishment. There were maybe three other cars in the parking lot. We found our key. We found our room.
It was clean enough and comfortable enough for the price. Not the quietest place as there's train tracks and what seemed like a truck stop right across the street.
The room did the job. We left refreshed and ready for the next part of our adventure after using the handy key drop. Probably not robots running the place, but we can't verify that for sure!
