Alpine Motel is always consistent. No frills but clean, remodeled with friendly staff members. Abingdon is a great artsy town for an overnight break on the way to my destinations.

The room was clean but very little lighting and only 1 chair for 3 people to share. The main problen was when on guest got ready to go to bed and pulled down her sheets there was something black on her sheets. Our first thought was bugs but with a closer look it appeared to be dried up leaves. We questioned all might if someone made the bed up and hadn’t changed the sheets between guests or used sheets they had dropped and got leaves on them. Anyway it was ashame and we were glad to check out early in morning.
