We have cultivated what we feel will be the most all-inclusive Door County stay one could ask for; ideal waterfront prime for swimming and fishing, included kayaks for guest use, a gas fireplace utilized by the flip of a switch, outdoor waterfront fire pit, outdoor furniture, interior touches that enhance your Door County vacation, and every creature comfort of home. Our property is located a mere 15 miles south of Sturgeon Bay allowing you the peace and tranquility only a property with this location can offer, while allowing for endless adventures travelling further North up the peninsula.

If you allow us the opportunity to host your stay, it will be an unforgettable experience with memories made to last a lifetime. This is your TRUE Door County getaway!

WELCOME!

*DISCLAIMER: Our pier was recently damaged and swept away in a large storm so there is no longer a pier. We do, however, have a concrete seawall at waters edge that allows for great waterfront access. The cottage is located in a more remote waterfront location and as such, our internet may experience intermittent spottiness. We have invested substantial resources in an attempt to improve the internet quality by switching providers and adding signal boosting equipment within the cottage. Also to note, the cottage utilizes a well and some guests may have an aversion to the hard water. The water is safe to drink but as an added convenience to our guests we provide filtered Culligan drinking water.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cottage, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a DVD player is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

We enjoyed our stay. Door county is a great place to visit. We enjoyed shopping and found plenty of places to eat. Know that the closest eating establishment to the cottage is 15 or so miles away. The lake and view were beautiful and relaxing. The cottage is cute and beds/pillows were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked (having some coffee available would have been a nice touch tho). It is clean but not “shiny”; it is a lake cottage. As others have stated, the water has a very heavy iron smell and the shower is dated and not very inviting. As a plus, plenty of fresh Culligan water is available for drinking. As we were unpacking, another family arrived claiming to have booked the same property, at the same time! We were eventually informed, by the other family, that other arrangements were being made for them. We were able to stay as we had booked earlier. I understand SNAFUS but excessive time was spent trying to contact owners and resolve the issue. Despite, we did enjoy our stay with family very much.

The cabin was very quaint, but didn’t have direct access to the water, but we did enjoy two beautiful sunsets. Very relaxing, and the cabin was very well equipped as advertised. The average rating is only because the grill that was supposed to be operational but it was a disaster hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time And the propane tanks weren’t full. Took my wife almost an hour and a half to clean the grill so we could even put tinfoilon top of it, and we used at least a half a tank of propane burning off all of the old food and so on that was left The owner was responsive, but we only stayed two days And he offered to come replaced the propane tanks.

Great spot

We really enjoyed our stay, the lake frontage is beautiful. It was the perfect spot for our group of 4 to stay near Sturgeon Bay, about 20-25 minutes from downtown. The interior of the cabin is well done and cozy. Communication with the host was great. Would stay there again, A all the way.

It was ok!

Definitely dusty on the walls, shelves, and in the bathroom. Dead bugs on windows and book shelf. Towels had bleached marks on them. Water definitely smelled like iron so “showers” were short due to the stench. You cannot swim in the water due to all the algae. But if they put their dock back in, you definitely could go off the end of that to avoid the algae. There were bolts sticking out on the path to the shore that seriously could’ve injured someone. We put rocks around it so no one would trip on them. There was food in the cabinet that expired last year..The pictures are pretty accurate and it is a cute place, just know it wasn’t the cleanest for us. We would probably come back because it worked well for our trip, but would hope we wouldn’t see the same towels next time…

Nice location, needs some cleaning and upkeep

We stayed the first week of July here with my family. We loved the views and quiet peaceful location. But this place needs a little TLC. There was lots of dust around, the towels had bleach stains all over it, the ac upstairs was broke. A lot of the kitchen items seemed old and dingy. We liked being able to grill outside and have fires at night. But because of the poor upkeep I wouldn’t stay here again.

Girls Weekend

Liked the property overall. Wished the weather could have been nicer. Place had enough room for 6 adults w/out feeling overly crowded. Some things like dust could have been wiped off just for a better appearance but overall we really liked the place. Water at the cabin does have a strong iron smell but bottled water is provided for drinking and cooking. Loved that it was right on the water and would stay again.

Easy access. Right on the water, which was warm enough to swim in. Kayaks available along with floaties. Not too far from Sturgeon Bay and its restaurants. Host also was accommodating. Great stay overall.

Very nice property. Clean cozy and comfortable. Quiet neighohood. Clear view of the sunset on the bay with a nice fire. Stocked well had everything we needed. 20 minutes to srurgeon bay. And had several nice resturuants and resorts nearby. One hour and 20 to the washington island ferry. Worked great for us.

Bachelorette Weekend - 6 Women

Everything was super cute inside and the views outside were unbeatable. After reading other reviews, we were super conscious of our water use (arguably too much so) and didn't run into any issues. Already keeping this place in mind for future trips!

Perfect for A girls getaway!

Booked this property for a girls getaway weekend! The property was beautiful and was well maintained, kept up and clean! We appreciated the Culligan water on the property as well! Our only feedback would be the house has a 6 gallon water heater. Unfortunately this was not listed in the VBRO listing. It would have been nice to know in advance. We made it work, but it would have been tough if we had brought more then the 4 girls on the trip. Otherwise everything was great! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our weekend away!

Beautiful view!

Beautiful view of the bay from this house! We absolutely loved our mornings of drinking coffee and relaxing before heading up the peninsula. It was a bit dark on the roads driving back each night, but it was well worth it. Would definitely book again for our next visit to Door County!

Lovely little house

The property was lovely, clean, and the listing was very accurate. The one note I'd have is similar to the other reviews - the water has a very strong sulfur smell. The owners, however, did provide alternate drinking water, but you should be prepared to have an interesting shower experience.

Clean, great location but a couple off issues

My husband and I stayed at this property with our adult daughter, her husband and their infant. Most important to us, the bungalow was clean. The owner provided plenty of towels and the kitchen was well equipped. A water cooler provided drinking water, thankfully, as the tap water smelled strongly of iron and thus was distasteful. We had access to kayaks and the yard had a grill and a fire pit, which made for pleasant evenings. Though there are enough beds to sleep eight adults (four in one large room upstairs and two each in two bedrooms), the bungalow is quite tight and may not be comfortable for more than four. A bigger problem, however, is the shower: It is miniscule, and it’s doubtful a larger person could fit. What’s more, the water heater is so small that, when taking showers, each of us turned the water on only long enough to get wet, then off while we lathered up; back on to rinse, then off to shampoo; and back on only to rinse again. Overall, the location and cleanliness made for a nice stay but the smell and availability of hot water were hard to ignore.

Bachelorette Party

Rented this house for a bachelorette party. The location was great! We were a little over a half an hour from Green Bay so we could go to a few bars there but we also drove to sister bay the next day and the drive was about an hour. The house and the view were absolutely spectacular! Walking right in to the lake was so much fun. The sunsets were breathtaking. The loft bedroom worked great for a large group. We also enjoyed the use of the fire pit. I would absolutely stay at this place again.

Beautiful peaceful, great place to watch the sunset

We enjoyed renting this home for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was just the two of us but there would have been plenty room for our family of five. It was well set up inside for basic cooking. It was not a factor for our stay but the internet was so slow that it was unusable for us. Thank you for providing such a pretty and clean home!
