Front desk check in ( Kayla?) was wonderful and really made our stay . The room was spacious, comfortable, great shower, good breakfast, lots of TV channels. The furniture was however worn and scuffed and the pots and pans so dirty I couldn't even scrub them clean. Better furniture and a thorough clean would make this place perfect.

not the cleanest or most comfortable accommodations, but it was nice to have more space than expected. bought air freshener at CVS because of the smell throughout the room. other guests were rude to me. appreciated the complementary breakfast. but i don’t think i would stay here again.

Questionable cleaning practices

I rented 3 rooms for UVM graduation weekend, and two of the rooms were fine. Very spacious. A little rundown. In one room there were bugs (NOT bed bugs) in the bed and pull out couch. We found this the first day and were offered a different room the next day. The second room had tons of different crumbs in the pull out couch. It had not been cleaned in a long time. They offered us a third room. The third room was in the basement. It appears to be a floor where people live full time. It smelled of marijuana and cigarettes, and people were smoking at the end of the hall with the outside door propped open. This room had no bugs, no crumbs, but the toilet seat was covered in old dried pee. We alerted the front desk, and they gave us expired cleaning wipes to clean it, which we did and we stayed in the room. There was also a lot of mold in the doorway leading to an adjacent room. The hotel compensated us one night if our 2-night stay for the one room. Breakfast was good. Location is good. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Smart Suites was wonderful! Staff was very friendly, property was slightly outdated but nonetheless clean and ideal! Continental breakfast was wonderful. It was an easy drive to DT Burlington. Our suite had a kitchen and was quite large compared to other hotels. Cozy 70’s vibe. Definitely recommend!

The mattress needed desperate replacement. It was a holiday weekend so prices were high but woke up with horrible hip pain many times through the night due to the cheapest mattress I have ever slept on. An airbed would have been better!

Staff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast had decent options. Overall very clean. Removed a star because 1) we heard tons of foot traffic from upstairs neighbors at all hours, 2) there were people sleeping in their car in the parking lot along with a couple other randomly hanging out close to the hotel that appeared to be vagrants, and 3) the gym did not appear to have a/c and was very hot and stuffy.

Our suite was very clean and the bed really comfortable. Hotel was quiet and we were grateful to have found a pet-welcome hotel. We stayed for four nights; on the second and third nights, we could smell cigarette smoke coming through a vent into the shower/toilet part, which was rather unpleasant. Had to keep the door shut.
