Room was in good shape and clean. They lost water to the building last day we were there. Not sure if this is a common occurence, but was definitely an inconvenience.

More like “The trailer at Canaan”
The Inn was definitely overpriced for this type of hotel (more like motel). If you do book a room, make sure to get a suite- which are all located in the 2nd building- the normal rooms are all located inside the office building, which sounds like a trailer when you walk through. Very thin walls & floors.. you can hear the people above you constantly.
I had a broken bead tire problem and a front desk employee has a husband who processes tires. That was helpful.
I propose that front desk tell guests about number of chairs and coat hangers in the room. They could mention that the microwave in the room is good for making the breakfast oatmeal hotter.
Room was newly renovated and clean but not very cozy (the lights were a very sterile white). My room was located down the hall from check-in so it was a little bit noisy.
The breakfast was so-so: cereal options were only oatmeal and fruit loops, there was never any decaf coffee, and the bananas were rotten.
Lots of rules and regulations posted everywhere (no ski boots -- $100 fine, no EV charging $100 fine, only staff can open kitchen cabinets!) which kind of take away from the vibe. I get it, there are things you don't want guests to do, but the messaging and the threat of a fine doesn't feel homey.
The property is clean and new. We stayed one night out of two due to weather and they didn’t charge us for both. Down side- you can hear everything through the new construction. Bring earplugs!
Property was clean and convenient. It’s a remote area with few options to stay. The one thing I didn’t like was the structure didn’t allow for quiet. You heard every door close and every time someone went down the hall.
I usually don't leave reviews but I have to make an exception for The Inn at Canaan.
Upon arriving in the lobby, I was greeted by a dirty toilet drain snake on the floor by the Christmas tree. Unbelievably it stayed there for at least an hour after my arrival as I walked by it multiple times. I asked the guy at the front desk if it was part of their Christmas decorations and he just blew off my comment as if it was too much trouble to put away.
Later in my stay I told a different guy at the front desk that I had a full trash can and he simply pointed me to a dumpster across the ice covered parking lot. These were the worst and laziest hotel employees I have ever encountered.
The inn's "sound proof" walls were no match for a screaming baby or other guests' TVs.
Their "free breakfast" is just a bagel bar that the employees don't replenish.
Needless to say, never again!
Stayed in a two- bedroom suite that slept “6”. Unit had a kitchen which was great for food prep before and after skiing. Beds were amazingly comfortable but pull out couch wasn’t ideal for two people. Room had small table - could have been bigger, and limited but adequate kitchen supplies. Night staff was not very helpful for day staff was very responsive. We’d go back for sure. 5 minutes to ski resort!
