The first in 2011 totally renovated villa has been furnished by us in May 2012 extremely attractive and with great attention to detail. In 2017, the windows and sliding doors of each room were replaced with tinted safety double glass with an argon filling to keep it up-to-date. In January 2018, the non-Florida powder-coated steel front door followed. The fully air-conditioned and fully equipped 188 sqm living / sleeping area with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms offers 2-6 persons an unforgettable holiday from the beginning. This includes in particular the spacious, covered terrace (50m ²) with the solar heated swimming pool. With a large seating area (all renewed in 2017), sun umbrella, four chairs and a renewed in 2018, four-burner gas grill, the terrace for 'the life by the pool' fully equipped. Here you can in the morning sun and enjoy breakfast overlooking the pool and enjoy the evening with pleasant temperatures. The Villa First Place is in an upscale residential neighborhood in the southwest of Cape Coral. On landscaped grounds with beautiful landscaped, largely secluded garden and large pool area you live in style, in a very quiet environment.

Golfers can enjoy free a golf set with cars.


Everything important (z. B. the Publix supermarket) is within walking distance or easily accessible by bicycles

Our German-speaking house care is available on site. About them can also z. B. Boat tours are booked.

For the pool area there is a plug-grid system that toddlers can keep the pool and only by adults is to open in two places. It thus prevents unsupervised toddlers can fall into the pool.

1st Place Villa was No.1 !

We stayed a month at this beautiful home and wish we never had to leave! Property is as described, the pictures are accurate and house is even better!, The landscaping was very nicely done and we enjoyed the little bunnies that played in the yard each evening! The kitchen was supplied with anything you could possibly need. We lived on the gorgeous lanai and in the pool! The neighborhood was quiet and convenient to everything! Publix just blocks away, you could walk! The owners take great pride in their home and it shows! We would recommend this home !00%!

Perfect family getaway in Cape Coral, Florida

We had an amazing stay at this home in Cape Coral, FL. The property is located in a great neighborhood, offering a peaceful and safe environment for our family. Lots to do in the area with restaurants and activities. One of the highlights of our trip was its convenient location, just a 20-minute drive to the beautiful islands of Sanibel and Captiva. These islands are perfect for day trips, with stunning beaches and plenty of activities for everyone. The home itself was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The backyard was a great space for relaxing, and the kids loved the pool. Anita the property manager was incredibly responsive and provided us with all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. We highly recommend this property for families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Cape Coral. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Lovely, well looked after villa

Communication with the villa owner was prompt and friendly. Check in to the villa was very straightforward. The photos do not do this villa justice as it is a beautiful villa that is obviously well cared for. There is a large TV in the living room and even a socket to charge your mobile phones in the sofa. It is also extremely well stocked with essentials which is really useful when we arrived. The pool area is lovely and it was great in the morning and evening, to sit at the dining table in the shade, enjoying food or just drinks. All in all, this is a fantastic villa and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Great house with uninvited guests.

The house looked beautiful and well maintained. Very nice curb appeal. The neighborhood was quiet and near a Publix. The decor seemed a bit dated but quaint with a musty/closed up smell. The pool was serviced once a week and perfect for day Florida heat but the heater didn't work for evening swims. There were instructions but only in German. When we went to use the grill we found it full of grease and food debris. We had to clean it before using it only to run out of gas half way through cooking our meal. We looked for a back up tank but to no avail. Publix carried them. 20 bucks to exchange. What was not appreciated was the band-aid found near the entrance of the pool by one of our friends. And upon further inspection, we found uninvited guests. All around the screened in pool area was a ton of spiny orb spiders. Ants ran rampant in the kitchen, we later found out, as we were unable to enjoy a second helping of pizza with friends that day. In the kitchen at night, when turning on the lights, roaches were seen scurrying off. And the same goes for the garage. And when we found them inside the dishwasher, we just decided to wash what we had used by hand and buy disposables instead of using the dishes there. All the utensils and drawers were dirty. There was no hot water. Hospital regulation temperature is 110 degrees and the hottest the water seemed was warm. We also noticed that the towels all smelled musty. We figured the smell came from the mold/mildew in the master shower. It wasn't until we washed our clothes, that came out musty smelling, that we inspected the front loader washer and found the source of the smell. The rubber seal was full of mold. The huge screen tv appeared awesome and the recliners with adjustable headrests seamed even better, until we found crumbs in them and a pile of dirt under them. The Xfinity service was out and not accessible. It must have not been paid as we were promoted to "get the entertainment back up and running". Near the door in the master bedroom, which looked like it had been recently renovated, was a wood/pergo tile that kept shifting. We waited the next day to convey this and other concerns to the property manager whom was supposed to stop by but never did. Like the cleaning fee which was supposed to be paid in cash/check. Very suspicious. The list goes on but running out of room! Light bulbs out. Tiny garbage/recycle bins. Unmarked switches. All beds uncomfortable. Ants in bed. Pictures taken!!!

The property it’s just at listed cozy the decoration it’s beautiful clean everything you need the supermarket 2 mins drive Walmart fast food , outlets ect the pool we enjoy so much and ms Annita it’s a sweetheart thanks me Bernhard for allowing us to stay and enjoy your beautiful home we went to see my brother witch it’s cancer patient and it was a blessed to be able to stay at this property god bless you back and we definitely willl stay at this property we love itttt!

Great property, awful property manager

The decor and atmosphere of the home was spectacular. The home was immaculate inside and out. There was some confusion regarding the trash day instructions (one book was written mainly in german so we didn't pay attention to those instructions) and the other instructions were left loose. Come to find out, the correct trash day information was listed in the book mainly written in german. When we let the property manager know, she completely belittled me for not following the instructions in the german book. I explained I do not read German, and found that book pretty useless considering I spoke English. (She was a hired property manager, not the owner.) When I explained to her what instructions we followed, she continued to belittle us. There were no instructions which stated the home needed to be immaculate when we left (there were instructions on bedding, towels, etc.). We did the dishes, left them to dry in the sink and cleaned out the fridge as instructed. She berated us for having a puzzle out of place, and a water bottle which we didn't see in our boys' room. She continued to insult me (VIA TEXT) when I wasn't able to answer her calls immediately (I was boarding a plane with my two sons BY MYSELF) when she had called to discuss the rental. I tried to explain to her I was boarding a plane, however her response was "I don't care!" Absolutely rude, very inconsiderate. I would not stay here again knowing I had to deal with her for anything. It's unfortunate because the home was beautiful and a semi decent location.

This was our second stay at the house and we plan to use it for next year's trip. It is so comfortable and well kept; we felt like it was our home. Very decent dishes and pots/pans in the kitchen. The pool was delightful. We ate on the patio several days. Great to have use of the garage. We enjoyed our stay!

Fabulous home!!!

We rented this home for a girls trip! It was perfect! We really enjoyed to pool and its convenient location. The house as beautiful as it was, we mostly sat outside by the pool. It accommodated us perfectly. I was leery at first, having to convert US currency to German, but its was very easy. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing girls trip!

Quiet and well cared for

We enjoyed our time at the Pelican. We had everything we needed for cooking and the house is spacious and nicely located near a grocery store that we could walk to. Anita, the property manager, was wonderful in every way and responded quickly to any questions we had. We enjoyed using the pool and the adjoining patio. The beach supplies were great to have for people who have traveled from afar. I would highly recommend the Pelican for families or friends.

Winter getaway

We really loved this home! It is even better than the pictures! Plenty of space with the bedrooms spread out. Great kitchen with pass through window to the screened lanai. Everything was very comfortable and the neighborhood is very nice. The grocery store was close and convenient. We used the bikes so it was fun to check out the area. We were hoping to use the pool but even though we had some warm days apparently a solar heated pool is not usable in winter months. Would have loved a heated pool. The outdoor patio area is very nice with comfortable seating. We enjoyed eating our meals outside when the weather was good.

The house was lovely. The location and neighborhood was convenient. The owner and property manager responded promptly to any questions I had. The pool was beautiful but with only solar heat we were not able to use the pool in January. We also had to purchase extra hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. I would recommend this rental.

Nicely maintained home with very comfortable sofas in the television area. The kitchen had decent cookware. It was too cold to use the pool but we did use the patio with its nice furniture. We will definitely use this house again. The neighborhood was quiet and the grocery store is within walking distance.

Great Stay—Felt like home!

Pelican was perfect! House was clean and we felt totally safe. Beds were comfy—they weren’t too firm or too soft. We were very impressed with the living room furniture as well—sit back and relax and we could even charge our electronics! Bernard had everything we needed to spend a few days at the beach as well. The location was perfect as well. The only thing that would have made it a little better is if the pool had an actual heater and not solar as we were there during a cold front so we weren’t able to use the pool. The property manager met us at check out on the last day and was very nice. We would definitely return!

Perfect Family Vacation!

Everything went smoothly from the moment we arrived at the property. Anita was friendly on the phone and made us feel like if we needed anything she would quickly be able to assist us. Check in and out process was clear and easy. Everything was clean and we felt safe there with my small children. My kids LOVED the pool and turned on the changing color lights for night time swim. Location was perfect! So close to Publix grocery and quick drive to many beaches and restaurants. Only complaint would be there was very little hand soap in the bathrooms, but I was able to purchase some at Publix so no problem. I was also a little worried about some information being in German when I booked, but a quick email to Bernard and he sent me all I needed in English. Thank you Bernard for letting us stay in your fantastic home. We definitely hope to book again soon!

Great home away from home!

We are so happy we found this property. In the midst of all going on with the pandemic and being work from home, our family decided to pick up and move to Florida for a month. We had a few houses that we had selected but this one fit our needs the best! The house is well equipped with just about anything you could ever need. Kitchen supplies, towels, bedding, beach toys, etc. I really could go on and on. The beds were comfortable and plenty of space for our family of 4. I will mention that when we arrived at the property (10pm) there were some cleaning missed. I immediately took pictures and emailed the owner and by 7 am the next day the property manager was on their way to make it right. It was just a mishap with the calendar but all was resolved and she was able to answer any questions we had and all was ok. Because of the quick to resolve and the cooperation of the management, I still consider the cleanliness rating a 5. Lets go outside... the pool is amazing!!! They do have pool toys and rafts available to use which makes it nice if you can't pack it all from home. I believe we ate almost all our meals outside, even if it rained. The lanai is a great spot to unwind from the day. The pool does get very warm in the summer! We talked to the property manager and we were able turn on the pump at night which helped with cooling it down so we could swim without sweating, haha. The neighborhood is safe and friendly. I would run in the mornings and always see people out early and always said "Good morning!" Now for getting around... there is literally a Publix a stone throw away. Cape Coral has a lot to offer for family fun, eating, shopping, etc. Everything seemed to be with about 15 minutes so fairly close. The closest beach is Fort Myers, which is 20 minutes with traffic I would say. There is the Yacht Club that has a small beach, but it wasn't what we were looking for so we never swam there. We were able to visit many beaches on the west coast that we had never been too so the location of this house was spot on. Would we rent from here again? ABSOLUTELY!! The owner does live out of the country but is very responsive, just remember there is a time difference. The property manager is so nice and is able to assist with anything that you need since she is in Cape Coral. If you rent this property, you won't be disappointed! Thank you Bernhard for opening up your home, we truly enjoyed our stay!
