The Air Conditioning controls, like many other hotels, is motion sensor based. While I understand this has some basis in saving money, it is an awful feature. At night the A/C shut off until we woke up sweating and turned the thermostat up and down. This is Charleston, SC in summer. It takes a LOT to make a room comfortable. And to start with a room at 80° then make the thermostat sensor so sensitive, made for a rather uncomfortable room for several hours. Why did we not complain? Because it’s a design issue and something the lovely staff could have “fixed”. The room was nice but it was small.

The bed was very comfy the bathroom has a really nice shower with different modes and the room is cool. Everything you need to shop for is no more than 1 mi away
