Welcome to Behren's Island! Not really ON an island, but a view that has inspired & been painted by several local artists. From the windows and your private patio you are able to see the historic Morris Island Lighthouse and panoramic marsh views. If you are over 24 years of age, we invite you to stay. Children under 14 are not allowed.

Our home has been divided into a duplex. Your private, renovated two bedroom/ two bath flat occupies the top floor of our elevated home. You are afforded breathtaking views from the property.

The colorful lounge area with smart TV was inspired by our trips to Spain, France and Central America. A full service kitchenette includes everything you may need to make your stay enjoyable. The dining table seats four and offers spectacular views!

The "Charleston Room" is elegantly furnished with antiques and has a TV and sound machine. The impressive ensuite spa bathroom was just renovated and has a jetted tub for two, as well as a large stand alone shower and dual sinks.

The serene "Folly Room" has photos and prints of local sights. It is furnished with a loveseat, queen bed, dresser, and sound machine. The hall bath serves this bedroom.

Private, ground level patio seats four. It is dedicated for your stay and has expansive marsh views!

Guest pets are not allowed, no exceptions.
Professionally cleaned between check-ins with Lysol and Clorox products. We do not have an on site washer dryer for quests.

We are 2.5 miles from Folly Beach, just off Folly Rd. There is a dedicated bike lane. Harris Teeter grocery, a gas station and beach store are across from the neighborhood entrance.
Guests say they appreciate the convenience to Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston, without being in the middle of the crowds. If you like to get your steps in, our quiet neighborhood is an approx one mile loop and includes two natural ponds.
A variety of popular restaurants with outdoor seating are nearby, as well as delivery from several restaurants.

Historic Downtown Charleston is 7 miles/15 min away by car, or approx $25 via ride share. Some of the finest dining and shopping in the southeast can be found downtown, but make sure to leave time to take in some of the beautiful historic landmarks that made our city famous!

Our property is fully licensed through Charleston County.

This house was in a quiet neighborhood, overlooking the marshlands. The bedrooms are large and there are 2 baths. The host was great and let us use beach towels and chairs. It was a good location between Charleston and some nice beaches.

The home was clean, the beds were comfortable and the view was breathtaking The little patio spot behind the house was one of the most peaceful places for me. I enjoyed sitting there and reading while watching the wildlife on the sound. The location was convenient to many restaurants and the hosts were extremely helpful.

Home away from home

Our second time staying at this rental. We love the owners who are happy to answers any questions or concerns. We love the easy access to either Folly Beach or Charleston and there is so much to do and see here, the list is long! The rental is clean, immaculate and the bed is super comfortable!

So Beautiful Here!!

Staying here was beyond lovely. Went for a relaxing girls trip and it was everything we could’ve hoped for. Owners were so friendly and accommodating. The drive to the beach was so easy. Our favorite part of the stay was definitely the beautiful view of the marsh and seeing all the birds. I already want to book again. Highly recommend!!!! (There are two big flights of stairs which we didn’t mind at all but if you’re someone who doesn’t do well with stairs just beware!)

Dreamy views and just right

Great communication and space very clean with charm. Went for a mother daughter trip with the daughter portion being in their 40s. Kitchen is small but you can definitely eat some meals in. Nice beds and linens. Great little host details like will loan you beach chairs if needed. Location is on beautiful marsh that changes with the tide and the colors are glorious- even better than host pictures. It is a CLIMB up to the second floor as they have lifted the house and then you are on the second floor… My mom has some mobility issues so just something other visitors might need to think - mom did just fine we just planed days so we didn’t need to do stairs over and over. Also some local youth knocked on door twice to ask if we wanted our car washed- just a heads up that’s a thing I guess lol. We liked Folly beach with parking at the County Park side. We also loved our dinner at Crust Wood Fired Pizza - gluten free crust was best I’ve had! Enjoy your trip!

Perfect in Every Way

Every year my sisters and I stay at this house in Charleston right over the bridge from Folly Beach. The owners are always quick to communicate. The house is decorated beautifully and has everything we need. The view is stunning. We are convenient to both downtown and the beach. I love this place!
