First of all I booked a Lake Michigan Suite and did not get the room I booked. We were very disappointed. . The front desk tried to help and offered a room in another location with a partial view of the lake but that room was very dark and smelled awful! We decided not to move. Our room was large and clean. The sheets were stained but clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a joke. My husband is handicapped. He can not walk up hills very well at all. We had to park at the bottom of a hill one night due to parking lot being re surfaced which we were not informed about when booking our room. Left for the day came back and there was no where to park except at the bottom of a large hill. The girl at the front desk was very nice and tried to make it right but was unable to give us the type of room I booked. I don’t think this property was worth the money we paid at all. We will not be staying here again.

Airconditioning is an old unit in the wall. Very ineffective and damp. Very outdated Units are dripping water outside on the sidewalk No elevator, stairwell is very old and outside , dirty with spiders

This was individual owned suites. Ours had a great view but unfortunately the bathroom needs to be redone. The tiles had big cracks and the ceiling had stains. Our headboard had stains. Not sure what it was. Otherwise the people working there were very pleasant.

Grounds and rooms are all in the need of an update. The layout and views of the lake are great but my guess is that the furnishings have not been updated since the 80s/90s. However, still charging high rates. It has so much potential!

I was very disappointed with the room and the accommodations. I had requested a balcony for my mom's 90th birthday. Now, we did get a balcony but it overlooked a parking lot. Having asked for a specific occasion, and the hotel was not busy, I would have thought we would have gotten a balcony overlooking the channel and shopping area. The room was very disappointing to say the least.

The hotel is in an excellent location. I feel like it just needs a little TLC...pool was not filled with water, glass was cracked in main lobby window area, glass table in same area was very dusty/dirty, one of the mattresses in our room needs replaced, but overall room was clean and price was fair.

We love the location and the rooms themselves. There is a sliding door that allows the great breeze off the bay. The only hitch was the tv didn’t work.
