The property wasn’t what was advertised. The staff were nice but the room wasn’t cleaned properly and it was noisy. Our first room was so loud because there was a machine that sounded like a motor outside the room. It was terrible so we had to switch rooms. The second room, the sound could still be heard even with earplugs. I went to throw trash away under the sink and the garbage was full to the brim. There was hair left in the shower and the room smelled. We checked out the next morning.

The check-in location was immaculate and smelled heavenly when you entered, however the grounds did not seem to be as clean. The front door and door frame to our room was dirty. There were stains in the concrete out in front of our room that just gave the area an unkempt look/feel The room was comfortable. The kitchen was tidy but not necessarily clean. The kitchen and appliances were a little outdated but everything worked, which was nice.

The accommodations at Sonesta ES Suites Wilmington - Newark location are spacious and clean. The first room (113)we were in needed appliance repairs. The refrigerator was not sufficiently cold enough to store my medication. The stove was missing a panel. Customer service was woefully and dangerously inadequate. On Saturday, July 19th I called approximately 1pm to inquire about early check-in. My call was answered by Shinaya. She informed us our room would not be available until after 4pm and said she would like to discuss the issue but had to place us on hold while she checked in other guest. It is disrespectful to sideline a guest while tending to someone else. Sonesta ES Suites would have lost our business from this interaction alone had we found alternate accommodations.The most egregious and potentially litigious action of all perpetated by everyone except Sharonda was I informed this organization that I was traveling with perishable medication. No one offered to insure refrigeration was available or offer to store my medication in a suitable manner. Shinaya's performance was abysmal and her behavior contentious. Ali was congenial but his performance lacked thoughness. Sharonda was a professional and it was a pleasure interacting with her. We liked the property. Visiting this location in the future is not outside the realm of possibilities but we will think long and hard about the service provided by the current staff.

Rooms we're dirty. Never been clean just wiped down. All carpets were dirty. One room the carpet had blood stains. I do not recommend this place. Stay away. Staff lady was really nice. Other than that, purely disgusting.

Was fine for the one night we needed on our trip.

Comfortable, ideal for family. Had to request more towels (there were only 2 towels provided for our family of 4) but they were polite and quick to help. Staff was friendly. Pool was packed with guests of customers who quickly cleared out when the pool closed. People were also setting off fireworks in the parking lot as cars tried to enter and exit.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: it is not the big building in their pictures, that building is their other property but when brought to their attention, property didn’t care and Expedia can not do anything once you’re already booked, Expedia can only give you a $25 OneKey credit. The room doesn’t look as nice as the pictures. It’s DIRTY and quite old, maybe the pictures are from when they first opened. Cons:Not the same building as in their pictures.The carpet is REALLY dirty, our socks were disgustingly dirty after walking around the room for about 2 hours.The utensils were not washed well.The tub was still dirty.The walls had food stains or something.The sofa had something black stuck to it.The kitchen chairs were wobbly to the point that it can come part anytime soon.Kitchen table was dirty, I used one of their little towels to just wet wipe down every surface in the room and that white towel wasn’t white anymore.There was a smell in the room that we couldn’t tell what it was but there was a strange smell, probably from the dirty carpet.There were also smells of marijuana or something similar as we were walking to our room from the parking lot.The morning guest service lady wasn’t pleasant to talk to.They stop making coffee after 9am. Pros:The beds are comfy. The night guest service gal has pleasant to talk to.Breakfast was ok but pancake machine stopped working.They had breakfast taco(too spicy for kids to eat though), cereals, bagels, breads,muffins,canned fruits, bagged oatmeal.

Great hotel. But they definitely up the price for this weekend by a lot. the rooms are not sound proof as advertised. We heard every step of the people upstairs and when they ran water and flushed the toilets. Overall a great place breakfast was delicious. Pool was clean.

My room was dirty. There were crumbs left on the counter, hair in the sink and on the towels, and the sheets were not clean. I had to call housekeeping to have the room cleaned. Will not be revisiting this hotel again.
