Not for younger crowd. Felt like a nursing home. No type of entertainment in the lobby area. Didn’t see the bar open once. The beach is not safe at night. We were chased down by a weirdo and when we told staff she didn’t even call security. We checked out early and stayed at a different hotel. Yet the staff lied to Expedia and told them we never checked out early.

Good spot for a post-cruise extension

Stayed for an extra day after a cruise and it was perfect. There is another large building between this one and the ocean, so it’s not super close or direct, but you can still see it. Bees were comfy, room was big and nice. Breakfast is slightly above average with waffle irons, eggs, potatoes and plenty of bread and cold options. 24hr coffee and tea in the lobby is a nice perk. Pool is nice and a relatively short walk to the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas for rent. Only downside is that you’re not really close to restaurants and uber/can service is spotty at best.

Not what was expected

First of all, I would like to say that this is NOT like our usual stays at Hampton. We typically stay because the breakfast is good and beds are comfortable. Needless to say, that is not true for this Hampton. Bed base was broken and the mattress was like sleeping on springs. Also, Ocean front means you can see the ocean, but you have to walk close to 1/4 mile to get to the ocean. This was a big disappointment for our 34 wedding Anniversary

They did not clean our room (I had to request it); room smelled like sour milk (moved me to another room); then establishment next door had a fire pit so we woke up to smoke in our room since the air conditioner was pulling it in. General manager only offered 5,000 hilton honors points and 2 lunches next door for all the inconveniences. Other staff were excellent.

We lost heat the first night and it was very cold! employees did the best could to find the problem.Everything was fixed by night 2 Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Will definitely give them another try next trip.
