Roaches in the kitchenette. Not just 1 or 2. Wouldn’t recommend this place as a single night budget friendly beach stay.

The entire building was dirty and disgusting. Poop smeared on the stairwell walls, our sheets had big oil stains, bathroom vanity light did not work, there was a hole in the drywall next to our bed that was stuffed with toilet paper and our next-door neighbors were smoking on the deck right outside our door Every time we were coming or going so the smoke would come into our room and we’d have to walk through a cloud of smoke on our way out. This motel was seriously the grossest place I’ve ever stayed. It did have a good location next to a bunch of restaurants and shopping and quick access either way to the beach or to the river, but I definitely pay the extra hundred a night and stay somewhere else next time.

The beds are hard as a rock. Older, but tried to be clean. Very few outlets to charge anything. Sink was very slow to drain. No trashcan in the bathroom. Hole in the wall.

The door lock on 121 was broken off. We had an infant in the room and didn’t feel safe. Had to leave the chair in front of the door just in case. As we were checking out the desk lady was just sitting in the back playing on her phone. Other then that wasn’t bad

I stayed here several years ago, not long after the place was remodeled so I booked here again for a weekend stay. I mean, it was nice then so I didn’t think it would be much different this go around. Needless to say, I was HIGHLY disappointed and disgusted honestly. From the moment we walked in, we regretted staying here. Stains were ALL over the bed covers. Room was damp and smelled of urine and mold. We couldn’t go anywhere else so we decided to try to tough it out as we were only here a couple of nights til we go to our next destination. Phones do not work at all, and the WiFi doesn’t work at all either. It will “connect” but says there’s no connection. The bed covers literally feel wet when you lay in them. The water pressure is horrible. They do not have extra pillows to spare, and their ice machines don’t work. Small round black bugs on the bed, didn’t look like bed bugs, really don’t know what they were honestly but a bug is a bug and any kind is gross to find in a bed period. HUGE roach looking water bugs (at least 2 inches long) crawling across the floor. Hours on the pool state 9am to 9:30pm. 9 o’clock, they’ll come tell everyone to get out. Staff is not friendly. The man was the only one that was nice. Both of the women who worked here that we encountered had zero customer service skills. The only good things about the place are the location, the AC, no pet fee, the pool, and the tv works. We ended up leaving early and will never be back to this motel.

We have stayed here several times for our cruises. In such times refurbishment has taken place. This time the room smelled like mold and stale cigarettes. We were very disappointed. They motel has really shown deterioration. Will be looking to stay elsewhere

RAT IN OUR ROOM

I had very low expectations going into the motel 6 reading other reviews but I said .. how bad can it be… and it by far was way worse than my expectations. First impressions: deciding to sleep under the comforter with a huge hole in it or the one with stains on it. We chose the hole.. Our next encounter was worse than anything written in a review we saw. We were woken up to plastic ruffling around in the room. We jumped up and peaked in the garbage as the bag fell in the bin. We noticed claw and bite marks on the garbage bin and a minute later a RAT came running at our feet!! We ran and screamed onto the bed while the rat ran under the fridge. Immediately we gathered all of our belongings and went to the front desk. Without a hesitation they gave us a refund for the following night. Please listen to these warnings and do not stay at this hotel. It’s disgusting, dirty, extremely outdated and needs major repairs.

Room smelled terrible, had to buy Fabreze and scented candles to kill the smell. Water on floor next to bed from AC. Floor turned my socks black, black mold in shower. Front door wouldn't lock properly, had bugs in room.
