Very cute concept, warm and welcoming staff. Special shout out to Erica in the restaurant who handled our large group with grace. Our caboose listed about 3-5 degrees (depending on where you stood) which was disorienting. The place was fully booked so they couldn’t offer other accommodations. Overall about what we expected. Definitely a hoot.

Red Caboose Apr 2025 stay

Loved the balcony on our farmhouse unit. Great for waking up and having a cup of coffee on the balcony of our room. Could use a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. We took a night light with us for the bathroom which really helped. No closet or hangers, so could have used a few hooks on the wall for hanging clothes. Overall, it was very good and we would stay again.

Each Caboose is laid out a bit differently. Make it a one of a kind experience! Definitely going back! Food at the Casey Jones restaurant was great and reasonably priced! Attractions within a one mile radius.

Place was awesome as USUAL However the Grain tower was not open for kids to check out like last year. My daughter was super bummed. I overheard a few families with a couple kids that were dissapointed also. 😔

Bunk bed dilemma

I share the space with my daughter ,her husband, and my grandson. I figured I should sleep in bottom bunk and my grandson sleep in top one. However, it was way to small to get in and out of for me. Had there been another foot of vertical space it would have been good. The bunk beds are a terrific option for younger children not grandmas

I was disappointed at the appearance of the inside of the caboose that we were assigned to. It was run down and didnt look anything like the pictures on the website. The door closed and locked but there was an opening at the bottom of the door that mice could easily come in. There was a tv by one bed, but could not be seen from the other bed. Would have liked a small table and chair to use to play board games, rather than the bed. Also, no blackout drapes. Cute train curtains, but the 6am sun shone completely through the curtains. Not too confindent we'd stay again. If we are in the area, we mistlike would stop and eat at the restaurant. The food was good and the service was fantastic
