A/c set at 72 & couldn't be adjusted. Jacuzzi tub in lodge was old and nasty, bugs came out to play. Water is yellow. No restaurant anymore. Check receipt, got charged double resort fee(i noticed and got it fixed) and 2 ($500) pending charges for our stay and a $115 pending damage charge. Why? Idk.

Great for families, lots of outdoor activities, but be prepared it is more like “glamping” in a cute cabin rather than staying at an upscale resort. It’s kind of like adult summer camp I guess. Great views, beautiful area, friendly staff, main outdoor pool is lovely, and you are on the lake. No restaurant or room service on site. We will be returning maybe 1-2x a year for a short stay. Very dog friendly so we may bring our dog next time. Conroe is a great little place with good seafood. Recommend Conroe Lake House to eat but make reservations as they are always PACKED!

When get there and the heater is not working we sleep all night freezing and I have to call them 5 times and never get fix the problem and I’ll ask them just move us to different cabin.

Even though my review isn't great, I'm not opposed to staying here again. A few things you must know that each of the rooms is more like an efficiency, or at least the room that I'm familiar with was. We had an xcellent view of lake Conroe and that was nice. There was only one pool that was functioning, and it was inside of a greenhouse like structure. And you had to walk through the very cold winter time weather to get to it, so if the other pools are not functioning. Beware you might need to bring a robe or some other warm clothing to put on. The rooms are definitely aging, they look like they were at one point an apartment. Our blinds in the front or right beside a walkway, and they wouldn't shut so I had to Jerry rig putting a cushion up against the blinds to keep them flat. There was a recreation room of sorts and apparently for some reason it just closes at 7:00 p.m. and you're not allowed to use it.. It was definitely a lot to be desired. But I think the thing that I wasn't expecting was that there was absolutely no food there at all other than some light vending items. The nearest food was almost a 20 minute drive away.

We’ve stayed here multiple times with our 3 children. Lots to do for all ages and the indoor pool is a bonus. Some rooms have been updated, but not the one we stayed in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even though there was a cockroach in our bathroom we’ll still come and stay again.

Pleasantly surprised!

Everything was better than expected! We loved our little unit in building 11 - Room 41. They provided smores at the fire pit on Saturday night and that activity was not very well organized at all. The marshmallows were hard and stale, the graham crackers were crumbly and the staff started late and had no process in place for how to hand out supplies. Other than that, every thing else about our 3 night & 4 day stay was awesome. We plan to return again soon.

Needs major work

The stay was terrible. It was my birthday and wedding anniversary and i had a terrible time. There were roaches in our first cabin, so we moved to another. It also had huge roaches and spiders. The water was green that cane out of the faucets so we didnt want to bath.

Our stay was very misleading and inconvenient, and the staff was less than helpful. When booking, we reserved a 2 bed/2bath ROOM which we assumed was part of the main hotel. When we checked in, we were informed that we were staying in a CABIN, a rustic cabin no less, which was not a part of the main resort but a round-about ways away. Also, I received confirmation of our final pricing which included a weekend stay upon booking. At check in, the front desk staff notified us that our price would be $200 more than the original confirmation because of "resort insurance" and that she could not provide us with a breakdown of pricing before purchasing. She also said there was "nothing I can do" to help remove the extra absurd charge, when however there WAS something she could do and finally after much deliberation, removed the extra charge the resort tried to sneak on. The lying, the inconvenience, the accommodations, all were a disappointment and we will not be staying here again.
