Quiet, quaint, but a bit aged. Expedia didn't show the onsite restaurant as closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so that was inconvenient. Nearby eateries were 25 min drive away. Falls are beautiful. Plenty of parking at lodge. I'd stay again but on diff day of week.

For the price, we expected a little more. The food was not good, for any of the meals for the price. Regular hotels offer a better continental breakfast. The meat with lunch/dinner was over cooked and looked like it came from a frozen bag. The vegetables didn't even taste good, very bland. It was like they are just cutting costs with no thought to the taste. With the beautiful view in the dining room, you would think they would at least clean the windows. That doesn't cost much. It just seems like they don't care if the guests are happy or not. I love the park and will probably go back but will probably get a cabin and bring our own food next time.

Dated but serviceable

The lodge is ancient and has an air of elegance fom the past. Bery simple and dated but pleasant. I understand that extensive renovations are happening soon. 🙏😁 The only elevator goes down one level to the restaurant. The stairs are steep and extremely narrow. The rooms are small and have only one place to sit other than the bed. The bathroom is small but serviceable. We arrived too late for dinner but it is apparently served cafeteria line style. For breakfast we were offered dry cereals, bagels, yogurt cups, bananas and small oranges, and simple Danish sealed in plastic. The staff were very nice. The setting is amazing. Well off the beaten track and very quiet.

Room was outdated giving it a dirty feeling. It was the tiniest room I have ever stayed in. Dust on ceiling and behind bed. Continental breakfast was less than average. It was a fantastic location to thw falls, the deck was very nice too. I would look elsewhere if ever in the area again.

Mold on shower curtain, actual amenities different than what’s posted on Expedia, “ Restaurants on site Riverview - This restaurant specializes in American cuisine and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.” Breakfast was 4 Tupperware containers with cereal and a few bananas. They are planning to close it to upgrade after 70 years of service, maybe then. Great area for outdoor activities

It is a lovely old lodge within scenic views, close to Cumberland Falls. It needs the remodeling that will take place over the next 15 months. Our room had an ozone generator in it that made the air unbreathable. When I complained no one knew why it was there. After spraying the room and opening the window we were able to sleep but with the odor still there somewhat. The next day I was told they put those in rooms where people have smoked (no-smoking allowed) or had a pet that left an odor. Our bathroom floor was very dirty. I let them know but it was not cleaned before we left the next day.

The waterfall was very beautiful! 5 min drive

Awesome customer service. This am at breakfast there was a lot of customers included us, were upset due to no sausage and eggs. Because, some are diabetics and can not have any of what was on the line due high in sugar (carbs) contents. Older generations not use to bagels, muffins, and cereal ( the expression on their face priceless). It is not handicapped efficient due to the stairs going into and from the restaurant area. No refrigerator in the rooms. A great place to go visit with lots of things to go do near by.

Our queen woodland cottage was a duplex with paper thin walls. We left at 11 p.m. and went home. Our elderly neighbors were having loud sex. At the front desk when i checked out, they acknowledged hearing my story before from others. They offered no refund

Clean room with barking dog next door.

The room was small and needs updating, however, it was clean. Unfortunately there was a dog in the room next to us that barked for hours. Dog-friendly rooms should be in their own section of the hotel! The public areas and dining room were very nice, with beautiful views. The staff were friendly.

What a gem!!!

The lodge is filled with historical information about the CCC and it is very close to the falls! The restaurant downstairs was good and very convenient as there aren’t many restaurants nearby.
