half the hotel was being renovated. they put us on the half that was being renovated, we were tripping over paint cans to get inside our room. i complained ann they put us on the other side that was ok. we should have known about this renovation. i wouldn’t have stayed there. from now on inform me of this. very disappointed. harry and vicki halsey

If you are skiing NubsNob or Boyne Highlands, this is very close and definately north of the chaos of the city of Petosky. Stayed a couple times this past winter and the staff was wonderful!

Hotel was under construction. The room and exterior doors did not operate well. Breakfast was toast, cereal, or waffle maker. Our first room had no AC. This place was rated 8.4 on hotels.com. Anybody who is leaving 10 star reviews for this hotel at $250 a night is a bot or has been paid.

There was Mould and peeled wallpaper in the room. Shower curtains were torn and one of the receptionists were plain rude though check in and checkout were efficient and easy. Bed linen was clean as well. The pictures in this were misleading and the place was much worse.

The room was very dirty. Stains on furniture room smelled of mildew covered up by some sort of air freshener. Also some scary guests witnessed an argument between a couple in parking lot the male was aggressive and it scared my wife. Felt unsafe.

Didn’t want to spend much. Was traveling with dog. Due to cost & negative reviews, we did not have good expectations. The outside looked a little rough but inside was clean. It was a good experience. I liked that they had a lot of doggy bag stations so that people can be respectful of clean up after their dog.

I live 2 miles up the road. I came here because my power went out. Now, the power is out here and back on at my house. I'm not going home. I don't trust mother nature and this has been just the kind of luck I've been having in the last year. Life sucks.

Daytime staff was friendly, evening seemed a bit aloof. We stayed because it was dog friendly and we had a group of 6 (4 rooms). Our room was a bit tired, carpet worn, wrinkled, lots of water stains ceiling, walls, room had a musty odor, tub had a crack, bed seemed worn. Adequate enough at the price for our needs. But, the room above us decided to elephant walk back and forth, sounded like they were moving furniture from 930-1230am keeping us up. A hot shower and good nights sleep are a must, so we likely will not return since this was the second time we dealt with this. Some of the other rooms for our group seemed more updated, the hotel did appear to be in the middle of renovation.
