You'll be delighted to stay at Hyatt Clear Water. The staff is amazing! There is beach access, restaurants all around with great food, and everything is within walking distance. 10/10 We were highly satisfied and reccomend this place for anyone!

I booked an ocean side room and got partial view. Think i saw it happened to others too. Fix the issue online so the proper rooms show availability or reimburse the difference. I was looking for a hotel where i had full ocean view.the pool is smaller but its nice. Lots of kids so we ended up going to another hotel and using their pool w less kids. Its not an adults only hotel i realize but i would stay someplace else that was more adult friendly. Great location and very nice hotel tho!

A lot of tacked-on fees (an extra $100 a day or so). Not worth it. They also tried to charge us for breakfast (even though we paid for breakfast— we had a double room) They should just charge people up front.

Nice Beach but Too Pricey

Our stay was enjoyable. Only negatives were the AC in the living room area of our suite didn’t work and the mattress in the pullout sofa was awful and really uncomfortable. The furniture has not been refreshed in a long time and was stained. It’s a nice hotel but really shows its age. I would have paid the same or more at a newer hotel in the area. You don’t get much for their VERY expensive resort fee and not including beach chairs and umbrellas is ridiculous. In the future, if I go back, I would stay somewhere along the gulf with a private beach if I’m going to pay for chairs and umbrellas. The food prices are ridiculously high throughout the resort and in all the Clearwater Beach restaurants. So be prepared to pay A LOT for food. Oh and they charge you a ridiculous price to park overnight while also make money by charging the public to park in their garage to access the beach. Would have been cheaper to Uber to and from the airport. Just felt like I was getting nickel and dimed for everything. On the positive side, the staff were very nice.

Hyatt is usually my preferred hotel chain when choosing a place for vacation. I had great experiences in Maui, in Bali, in Scottsdale. The Regency in Clearwater was not as great as other locations. The property design does not make it very convenient. Lobby at street level but then restaurant/cafe and beach access through level 1 and finally Pool on level 8!!! One elevator was out of order in the North tower and it was always painful to wait for the elevator. The shower was not as good as I would expect from a 4* hotel, low pressure, shower handle not properly attached and falling in the tub... not the end of the world, but again, Hyatt is usually better than this. Finally, one more suggestion, the room had a small kitchen which is great for small snack or even breakfast. It was equipped with micro wave, stove, sink and a blender BUT no toaster!
