Big disappointment

Upon arrival our desk, clerk was unfriendly despite however hard I tried to make her smile. The room was so musty and dank that it gave me an asthma alert, and I don't suffer from asthma! Second room was better but the furniture was damaged and in poor repair. Comfortable bed though and nice sheets. Breakfast was served until 9 AM. We arrived at 8:40 and there was nothing to be had. Service staff had no reply when I asked about the timing for breakfast service so we left having had nothing. They were also several homeless people in the neighborhood hanging around the entrance to the hotel.

The location was great, but the breakfast was not what it should have been. It was very upsetting , we had to leave and get breakfast somewhere else. They advertised that they would have breakfast. They had A waffle maker and cold cereal. Only NO meat or eggs. They need to spray for roaches

It’s a Sleep Inn and it is what it is. We needed a room for one night in the Daytona area during bike week, obviously our choices were going to be limited and we didn’t want to pay an outrageous price. So, we stayed at the Sleep Inn in Ormond Beach. It’s conveniently located near restaurants and a grocery store right off the Interstate. They called me twice before arrival to make sure I was still coming, and said my card wasn’t going through, which was a little annoying and there was nothing wrong with my card. Upon arrival check-in was easy enough and the card worked fine. When we got to our room the door looked like it had been the target of a SWAT team entry as the frame was noticeably bent and damaged near the door handle. The door locked and secured and it was fine but it made us wonder what had happened in that room in the past. Other than it just being a little dirty and rundown from age, our stay was fine and it served its purpose. Wouldn’t stay here again, unless nothing else was available or, as during bike week, all the other properties are outrageously expensive, which this hotel wasn’t exactly cheap. I’d give it a satisfactory rating but not much more.

Would stay again but not great as usual.

We always enjoy the Sleep in. But this time was not so great. It is a non smoking building but our floor smelled heavily of pot. On top of the new paint job we both had a headache just walking down the hall. Room key or door lock not wanting to work. Went to desk 3 times to get in on separate occasions. The Biscuits n Gravy were very good but looks like they tried to stretch the waffle mis so the waffles were rubbery. Not just my thoughts. I watched several toss their waffles in the garbage. They are usually very good. Hotel was very clean. One of the dollies for luggage had 2 flat tires which you didn't notice until you loaded it up. Desk was very much in order and the personel was very friendly and helpful.

Crappy service.

We arrived at 11:30p and when I walked in, there was no one behind the counter. I rang the bell then realized there was a sign that said they had stepped away and to call a number for service. When I called the number, the front desk phone rang. That was worthless considering no one was there. I walked around the breakfast serving area and found no one. I walked in the laundry room to no avail. Finally, a guy walked around the corner and asked if I needed help. I told him I needed to check in. Check in went easily. Later, I came down to inquire about a crib. It went the same as before. No one at the desk and no service. Breakfast was deplorable. Only served 2 cereals and biscuits and gravy. Fruit was empty and couldn’t keep up the milk supply because there were only 2 items offered.
