Checking in was an extremely frustrating experience. My family and I were initially given the gate codes the day before checking in, but they were for May-July. I had to reach out to Vacasa to receive the correct codes for August. The most frustrating part was that we were told that our parking pass and beach access card would be ready in our unit by the time we arrive. When we arrived, there were no cards. I immediately reached out to Vacasa, and they gave me the number of the local on-site manager. When I called him, he was out of the office by then, and his voicemail said he would be out of the office for the next 2 days. We ended up parking in the lot nearby, which was manageable, but we had no access to the beach the next morning. I messaged back and forth with Vacasa, who told me repeatedly that the cards were in the unit (but they were not). They told me to check random spots, and my family and I tripled checked and, of course, did not find them. I then asked to speak to an agent over the phone. I talked to someone, who said they would try to call the local manager. I informed them again I had already tried multiple times, but they attempted with no luck. Thankfully, they got in touch with another manager, who was responsive and coordinated with the on-site manager to give us the cards. Overall, the condo was beautiful, and the location was great, but the logistics to check-in were stressful, and I did not appreciate the back-and-forth and the lost time at the beach.
